Work you’ll do
- Analyze trends shaping the external operating environment and how they impact the national security mission, advising clients on how to evolve their work and business.
- Identify external commercial solutions, running pilots and proof of concepts, designing new capabilities or programs, and/or engaging leaders/units to make tailored recommendations.
- Lead key aspects of the work, drive results, assure quality, and mentor junior team members.
- Strong experiences and skills in creating and deploying strategy is essential to this role. Those who have applied strategy for mission success will have the greatest alignment to these responsibilities.

Deloitte’s Government and Public Services (GPS) practice – our people, ideas, technology and outcomes—is designed for impact. Serving federal, state, & local government clients as well as public higher education institutions, our team of over 15,000+ professionals brings fresh perspective to help clients anticipate disruption, reimagine the possible, and fulfill their mission promise.
The GPS Strategy offering leads strategic planning & portfolio management and reporting & monitoring workstreams. This includes day-to-day client interaction and leads to the creation of relevant resources and materials (such as strategic plans, roadmaps, etc.) and work products (such as development of performance metrics, tracking dashboards, etc.) in order to successfully implement client vision.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
- 5+ yrs exp in Mission Strategy Development and Implementation within the IC
- 5+ yrs exp in strategy innovation and work within mission and market analysis
- Ability to be on site 100% of the time in SCIF in Chantilly, VA.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- MBA degree preferred.
- Experience in change management or communications preferred.
- Experience over seeing program staff, acting as Chief of Staff, a plus.
- Demonstrated experience producing reports and presentations for executive audiences.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies within the space
- Ability to travel 0-25% as needed
