Position Summary

The External Inspections team is a part of the Monitoring Group, and focuses on preparing, supporting, and advising Issuer and Broker Dealer engagement teams subject to PCAOB inspections, responding to the PCAOB’s annual data request, and supporting other Monitoring Group activities and firm quality initiatives.


The work you’ll do

Work with teams selected for PCAOB inspection by providing support and insight into the inspection process, coordination and review of preparation materials, and coordination with various leaders to during the week(s) of inspection.

  • Assist teams with the project management and understanding of preparation materials for the inspection.
  • Join in working session calls with various firm leadership and the team selected for inspection to discuss each PCAOB selected focus area to prepare the team for potential questions that may arise during the inspection week(s).
  • Review response materials to ensure quality and consistency before being provided to the PCAOB.
  • Coordinate and assist team as needed during week(s) of inspection
  • Additionally, assist with various data requests from the PCAOB, coordinating the collection of needed data and reviewing data for reasonableness and appropriateness.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in auditing in accordance with PCAOB standards.
  • Must be a self starter and be able to work autonomously.
  • Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Certified Public Accountant in the state of your office location.
  • Minimal travel required.
  • Limited sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in related field.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $103,600 - $192,400.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
