Position Summary

We are searching for a talented Graphic Designer to create engaging content for video, web, environmental, and print. You’ll be responsible for producing visual assets matching our GPS client’s vision and marketing strategy, including social media graphics, website banners, other design elements, and print material. You will often be asked to be more than a graphic designer - filling in the gaps between creative design, marketing strategy, and innovation.

Work you’ll do:

  • Leads graphic design initiatives by establishing conceptual and stylistic direction
  • Create graphics based on pre-set standards as well as conceptual guidelines, remaining responsive to evolving client feedback
  • Responsible for the design of projects from conception to completion
  • Collaborate intimately with the client to aid in the production of their creative communication plans and marketing materials

Qualifications

Required:

  • 6+ years of experience using design software and conceptualizing, creating, and editing graphics
  • Experience working directly with clients to gather requirements, pitch design concepts, iterate on content, and deliver the final product (or similar relevant experience)
  • Experience collaborating within a small-to-medium-sized team of creatives
  • Ability to be on site 100% of the time in McLean, VA
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph required 

Preferred: 

  • Additional experience in desktop layout, image manipulation, and pre-brief preparation
  • Specialized skills in web, multimedia, or video
  • History of telling compelling stories through unique creative assets and visual interactions 
  • Experience editing video assets using Premiere
  • Color correction experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Skills in the following area: Roadmap Development, Online Content, Marketing Materials, Creative Communication, Visual Media, Communications, Branding, Strategic Thinking
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
