Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Specialist Senior, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Dallas, TX and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Support the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation, identify and mitigate processes and technology risks. Perform assessments of existing information systems, identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, and estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Design sub-components of larger application systems, integrate software applications, and continuously optimize system structure to improve stability and performance. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation.

  • 80% travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Developing integration architectural blueprints, service patterns, UML design diagrams and sequence diagrams utilizing Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint, and assessing projects for applicability of integration services to drive value beyond current projects and deliver high quality estimates, design, and project deliverables;
  • Designing and implementing state and federal based Medicare and Medicaid benefits eligibility and enrollment systems, utilizing Java, Java Message Service (JMS), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), SOAP and REST Web Services, and Application Programming Interfaces (API) management technologies;
  • Implementing and developing interfaces and data services to integrate software applications leveraging Service Orchestration, Event Driven Architecture, and Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) integration patterns, utilizing IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker), IBM Message Queue (WebSphere MQ Series), IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX), and Java and Java Message Service (JMS);
  • Developing High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents including interface specification, Data Format Specification, data transformation specification, and test cases;
  • Designing and developing interfaces leveraging Extensible Markup Language (XML), Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Web Services Description Language (WSDL), XML Schema Definition (XSD), Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT), SQL Query, Oracle and DB2 databases, and Unix Shell Scripting. 
  • 80% travel required nationally.
