Deloitte Consultant LLP seeks a Specialist Senior, Core Business Operations Systems Engineer in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

 

Work You’ll Do

DRIVE SOFTWARE TESTING AND IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES TO HELP COMPANIES UNLOCK THE VALUE OF BIG TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENTS AS DISCRETE SERVICES OR COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTIONS IN THE INSURANCE, FINANCIAL SERVICES, HEALTHCARE, STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT, TELECOM, AND RETAIL INDUSTRIES. PARTICIPATE IN SETTING ENGAGEMENT OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE, DEVELOP WORK PLANS FOR COMPONENTS OF ENGAGEMENTS, COORDINATE ACTIVITIES BETWEEN WORKSTREAMS AND IDENTIFY CHANGES IN SCOPE. PERFORM ASSESSMENTS OF EXISTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND IDENTIFY GAPS BETWEEN BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND CURRENT SYSTEM CAPABILITIES. PROVIDE APPLICATION ANALYSIS, TESTING, AND APPLICATION MODIFICATION OR REFACTORING SERVICES TO MEET ARCHITECTURE AND INFRASTRUCTURE GOALS. REVIEW TEST CASES, PERFORM FUNCTIONAL, NON-FUNCTIONAL, SIT (SYSTEM INTEGRATION TESTING), BLACK-BOX, WHITE-BOX, AND END-TO-END TESTING OF SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS, PERFORM TEST ESTIMATION, TEST PLANNING, TEST DESIGN, TEST EXECUTION, TEST REPORTING AS WELL AS COORDINATE TESTING AND TEST ARTIFACTS ACROSS ALL PHASES OF TESTING, SUCH AS SIT, UAT (USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING), END-TO-END, AND PERFORMANCE TESTING. LEAD TESTING OF SUB-COMPONENTS OF LARGER APPLICATION SYSTEMS, INTEGRATE APPLICATIONS WITH EACH OTHER, AND CONTINUOUSLY OPTIMIZE SYSTEM STRUCTURE TO IMPROVE STABILITY AND PERFORMANCE. RESEARCH USER REPORTED ISSUES, IDENTIFY ROOT CAUSES AND RESOLUTIONS, IMPLEMENT FIXES, AND LIAISE BETWEEN BUSINESS FUNCTIONS, END USERS, AND TECHNICAL DELIVERY TEAMS. CREATE TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND USE CASES, INCLUDING SCREEN LAYOUTS, NAVIGATION FLOWS, LOGIC DIAGRAMS, DATA MODELS, AND PROCESS MODELS.

Requirements

  • BACHELORS DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN ENGINEERING OR RELATED FIELD AND TWO (2) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE. MUST HAVE TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING:
    • ALL TEST ENGINEERING ACTIVITIES INCLUDING ANALYSIS, ESTIMATION, STRATEGIC PLANNING, EXECUTION, AND PRODUCTION DEPLOYMENT IN CUSTOM AND COMMERCIALLY OFF THE SHELF PRODUCT IMPLEMENTATION; PROGRAMMING MAINFRAME AND WINDOWS PLATFORM INCLUDING COBOL (COMMON BUSINESS ORIENTED LANGUAGE), JCL (JOB CONTROL LANGUAGE), VSAM (VIRTUAL STORAGE ACCESS METHOD), JAVA AND VB SCRIPTS;
    • UTILIZING CUCUMBER, JMETER, JUNIT, TESTNG, JENKINS, AND COUCHDB FOR TESTING FRAMEWORK;
    • WORKING WITH BUSINESS STAKEHOLDERS AND CONSULTING WITH CLIENTS REGARDING PROBLEMS THAT ARE FACED DURING PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION;
    • PREPARING TESTING STRATEGIC DOCUMENTS IN THE MANUAL AND AUTOMATION PLATFORM;
    • PROVIDING BUSINESS REVIEW WALKTHROUGH ON TESTING ARTIFACTS WITH CLIENT STAKEHOLDERS;
    • CALCULATING TESTING METRICS AND REPORTING TO BUSINESS LEADERS FOR EFFECTIVE TESTING MANAGEMENT;
    • IDENTIFYING, DESIGNING, AND IMPLEMENTING TECHNOLOGY AND CREATIVE BUSINESS SOLUTIONS; AND
    • HANDLING TEAMS IN TASKS INCLUDING IDENTIFICATION OF BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS, FUNCTIONAL DESIGN, PROCESS DESIGN (INCLUDING SCENARIO DESIGN AND DATA FLOW), PROTOTYPING, TESTING, TRAINING, DEFINING SUPPORT PROCEDURES, AND PREDICTIVE ANALYSIS.
  • 80% TRAVEL REQUIRED NATIONALLY.
  • TELECOMMUTING PERMITTED.
  • 80% TRAVEL REQUIRED TO VARIOUS UNANTICIPATED DELOITTE OFFICE LOCATIONS AND CLIENT SITES NATIONALLY.
