Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Specialist Senior, Core Business Operations, Cloud Engineering in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive the development of Cloud-based technologies, including data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, systems development life cycle, etc. Enable end to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud; may lead design and development within the following focus areas: Cloud messaging, ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. Design and develop data governance standards, roles and responsibilities. Convert legacy data according to current systems data structure using data warehouse concepts; design conversion strategies and mapping rules between legacy data and the current system database to facilitate data conversion. Develop design documentation to be used for application development. Design sub-components of larger application systems; integrate the applications with each other and continuously optimizing the system structure to improve stability and performance.

Requirements

BACHELORS DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ANY STEM FIELD OR A RELATED FIELD AND TWO (2) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. MUST ALSO HAVE TWO (2) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: LEADING VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THE FULL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE PER WATERFALL AND AGILE METHODOLOGIES INCLUDING REQUIREMENTS GATHERING, APPLICATION CONFIGURATION DESIGN, BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYSIS, SCRIPTING, CODE DEPLOYMENTS, ENHANCEMENT VALIDATION, TRIAGE OF DEFECTS AND CHANGE REQUESTS, ESCALATIONS AND URGENT ISSUES; UTILIZING DELL BOOMI TO DESIGN AND DEVELOP DATA CONVERSION STRATEGIES, AS WELL AS FACILITATE DATA CONVERSION, MAPPING AND CLEANSING WORKSHOPS; CREATING TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS, INCLUDING NAVIGATION FLOWS, LOGIC DIAGRAMS, DATA MODELS, PROCESS MODELS, AND PSEUDO CODE, UTILIZING MICROSOFT VISIO, LUCID CHART AND SMART SHEETS; PERFORMING ASSESSMENTS OF EXISTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND IDENTIFYING GAPS BETWEEN BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND CURRENT SYSTEM CAPABILITIES; ESTIMATING TIME AND RESOURCES NEEDED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT WORK; CONDUCTING ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN AND MASTER DATA WORKSHOPS REQUIRED FOR CLOUD IMPLEMENTATIONS AND DEPLOYING, MAINTAINING AND OPERATING APPLICATIONS DEPLOYED IN CLOUD INSTANCES; TRACKING AND REPORTING ON PROJECT AND MILESTONE DELIVERABLE STATUSES TO ENSURE TIMELY PROJECT DELIVERY AND COMMUNICATION OF UPDATES TO INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS USING JIRA, MICROSOFT POWERPOINT, PROJECT PLAN AND EXCEL; COORDINATING THE PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES OF CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ONSHORE AND OFFSHORE TEAM MEMBERS TO ENSURE EFFICIENT COMPLETION OF PROJECT TASKS; AND EVALUATING CLIENTS' TECHNOLOGY NEEDS, DEVELOPING CUSTOMIZED INTEGRATION APPLICATIONS USING GROOVY, JAVASCRIPT, JSON, SWAGGER API, AND XML AND DRAFTING TECHNICAL DESIGN DOCUMENTATION UTILIZING PRIMARY CLOUD-BASED INTEGRATION TOOLS DELL BOOMI AND APIGEE.
