Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a SPECIALIST MASTER, STRATEGY & ANALYTICS, ANALYTICS & COGNITIVE in Pleasanton, CA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

LEVERAGING ANALYTICS, ROBOTICS, AND COGNITIVE TECHNOLOGIES TO UNCOVER HIDDEN RELATIONSHIPS FROM VAST TROVES OF DATA, CREATING AND MANAGING LARGE-SCALE ORGANIZATIONAL INTELLIGENCE, AND GENERATING INSIGHTS THAT CATALYZE GROWTH AND EFFICIENCIES. MANAGING DAY TO DAY INTERACTIONS WITH EXECUTIVE CLIENTS AND SPONSORS. MANAGING AND DELIVERING COMPONENTS OF CLIENT ENGAGEMENTS THAT IDENTIFY, DESIGN, AND IMPLEMENT TECHNOLOGY AND CREATIVE BUSINESS SOLUTIONS FOR LARGE COMPANIES. MANAGING TEAMS IN THE IDENTIFICATION OF BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS, FUNCTIONAL DESIGN, PROCESS DESIGN (INCLUDING SCENARIO DESIGN, FLOW MAPPING), PROTOTYPING, TESTING, TRAINING, DEFINING SUPPORT PROCEDURES. DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING CONTACT WITH TOP DECISION MAKERS AT KEY CLIENTS. PARTICIPATING AND LEADING ASPECTS OF THE PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT PROCESS. CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROPOSAL PRICING STRATEGIES. PROVIDING LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORTING FOR DELIVERY TEAMS AND STAFF IN LOCAL OFFICES. PERFORMING ASSESSMENTS OF EXISTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS, AND IDENTIFYING GAPS BETWEEN BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND CURRENT SYSTEM CAPABILITIES. DEFINING SYSTEMS STRATEGY, DEVELOPING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, PROCESSING DESIGN, PROTOTYPING, AND TESTING CUSTOM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, AND SUPPORTING SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION. PERFORMING CONCEPTUAL AND TECHNICAL DESIGNS, INCLUDING THE USE OF OBJECT-ORIENTED ANALYSIS AND DESIGN TECHNIQUES. CREATING PLANS TO MITIGATE RISKS AND ISSUES OVER THE COURSE OF THE PROJECT AND MANAGING THE SCOPE USING CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROCESSES. ADHERING TO QUALITY PROCESSES AND EVD METHODOLOGY TO ENSURE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AS PER THE GUIDELINES DEFINED BY QUALITY AND RISK MANAGEMENT TEAM.

Requirements 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRES A MASTER'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ANY STEM DEGREE, OR A RELATED FIELD AND THREE (3) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. IN THE ALTERNATIVE, THE EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT A BACHELOR'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) AND FIVE (5) YEARS OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE. MUST ALSO HAVE THREE (3) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: 

  • WORKING ACROSS ALL PHASES OF THE AGILE LIFECYCLE FOR THE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, TESTING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF DATA SCIENCE & DATA ANALYTICSSTRATEGY AND ANALYTICS SOLUTIONS FOR ENTERPRISE-LEVEL CLIENTS;
  • INTERFACING DIRECTLY WITH CLIENT STAKEHOLDERS TO GATHER FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, ANALYZING CLIENT REQUIREMENTS, AND TRANSLATING REQUIREMENTS INTO PROJECT DESIGNS TO DELIVER SOLUTIONS THAT SATISFY CLIENT NEEDS USING R, PYTHON, SQL, HTML, AND BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE TOOLS;
  • USING SPOTFIRE, TABLEAU, MACHINE LEARNING, STATISTICS, SQL, AND SUBJECT MATTER INFORMATION FOR PROCESS AUTOMATION AND DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS SOLUTIONS;
  • TRACKING AND REPORTING ON PROJECT AND MILESTONE DELIVERABLE STATUS TO ENSURE TIMELY PROJECT DELIVERY AND COMMUNICATION OF UPDATES TO INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS USING SHAREPOINT AND ENDNOTES;
  • COORDINATING THE PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES OF CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ONSHORE AND OFFSHORE TEAM MEMBERS TO ENSURE EFFICIENT COMPLETION OF PROJECT TASKS;
  • USING VARIOUS PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES SUCH AS PYTHON, IRONPYTHON, SQL, R AND DATABASE TECHNOLOGIES SUCH AS ORACLE TERADATA EXADATA, SQL SERVER TO DO COMPARITIVE DATA ANALYSIS WITH PUBLIC DATA FROM DATA SOURCES SUCH AS TCGA, CG HUB, AND NCBI. UTILIZING DATA MINING APPROACHES AND APPLY DIFFERENT STATISTICAL MODELS IN ORDER TO RETRIEVE AND PROCESS INFORMATION GAINED FROM VARIED DATASETS;
  • USING TIBCO SPOTFIRE AND R TO PERFORM AND OVERSEE TESTING OF DATA QUALITY, INTEGRITY AND DATA CLEANSING TO ENSURE SUCCESSFUL DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT SOLUTIONS FOR BIG DATA ANALYTICS;
  • DEVELOPING AND DEPLOYMENT OF VARIOUS BI ANALYTICAL REPORTS, VISUALIZATIONS AND DASHBOARDS USING BI TOOLS SPOTFIRE, TABLEAU, AND QILKVIEW AND INTEGRATING THEM INTO WEBSERVICES.

IN THE ALTERNATIVE, THE EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT A MASTER'S DEGREE OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT DEGREE IN THE STATED FIELD PLUS THREE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. ANY SUITABLE COMBINATION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR EXPERIENCE IS ACCEPTABLE.
