Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Specialist Master, Enterprise Performance, SAP in Dallas, Texas and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 

 

Work You’ll Do 

Managing day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors. Managing and delivering components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for financial transformation of large companies including identification of business requirements, functional and process design, prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures. Contributing to the development of finance pursuits and proposal pricing strategies for full suite of SAP products including S/4HANA, Central Finance, SAP Ariba and OpenText. Participating in various aspects of the full software development lifecycle for software applications, which may include requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis, interpreting and reporting on outputs. Evaluating clients' technology needs, defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Creating test cases and performing functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications using tools like HP-ALM and Jira. Researching user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Tracking application defects using defect tracking tools; coordinating defect resolution efforts, and documenting resolution details. Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Estimating time and resources needed for the development work. Designing sub-components of larger application systems like integration of SAP S/4 with other Tax bolt on solutions like Vertex, Taxware or OneSource for reporting, statutory and legal compliance.

Requirements 

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM field or a related field. Three years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor’s degree and five years of progressively responsible experience as noted above. Must have three years of experience with:

  • Working across all phases of the SAP project delivery lifecycle for the design, development, testing and implementation of SAP R/3, SAP Central Finance and SAP S/4HANA Finance and implementing project solutions for enterprise-level clients using Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid Methodologies;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes and environments;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that satisfy client needs;
  • Using HP Agile Manager, Jira and SAP Solution Manager to lead the design and development of project solutions;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communication of updates to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Coordinating the project activities of onshore and offshore team members to ensure the timely and quality completion of project deliverables;
  • Using HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Jira to perform and oversee the following types of testing to ensure successful design and implementation of project solutions: Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT);
  • Using OneSource, Vertex, and Taxware Bolt On to implement indirect taxation solutions for SAP Finance Implementation Projects;
  • Designing and delivering user manuals and training for solutions to ensure successful implementation, adoption and maintenance in client environments; and
  • Supporting business development activities, including proposal development, pricing, resource optimization and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
