Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Specialist Master, Core Business Operations, Core Industry Solutions in Richmond, Virginia and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 

Work You’ll Do 

Managing day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors. Managing and delivering components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. Managing teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures. Developing and maintaining contact with top decision makers at key clients. Participating and leading aspects of the proposal development process. Contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Performing role of counselor and coach; actively participating in staff recruitment and retention activities. Providing leadership and supporting for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Estimating time and resources needed for the development work. Functioning as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients business needs. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, processing design, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation.

  • 80% travel required nationally.

Requirements 

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM degree or a related field. Five years of progressively responsible experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation. Must have five years of experience with:

  • Working across all phases of the Agile project delivery lifecycle for the design, development, testing and implementation of Core System Transformation solutions for enterprise-level clients;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes and environments using Microsoft (MS) Visio, Unified Modeling Language (UML), Application Server (WAS), Continuous Integration tool (CI), and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), and the following Guidewire InsuranceSuite tools: Contact Manager, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and PolicyCenter;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that fully meet client needs using Agile methodology and the following Guidewire InsuranceSuite tools: Contact Manager, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and PolicyCenter;
  • Using Guidewire InsuranceSuite tools including Contact Manager, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and PolicyCenter to lead the design and development of solutions;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverables status to ensure timely project delivery and communication of updates to internal and external stakeholders using Jira and CA Rally;
  • Coordinating the project activities of onshore and offshore team members to ensure the timely and quality completion of project deliverables;
  • Using Postman, SoapUI, and G-Unit to support and oversee the following types of testing to ensure successful design and implementation of project solutions: Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Performance Testing;
  • Supporting business development activities, including proposal development and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • 80% travel required nationally.
