Position Summary

Work you’ll do 

  • Design new products and features and support all aspects of required technical documentation.
  • Plan for and conduct the artifact review process, per the IRS guidelines, and ensure that all the artifacts are communicated with and reviewed by the relevant stakeholders and that their comments and feedback are addressed before sending the artifacts for signature 
  • Coordinate and conduct the artifact signature process; and ensure that artifacts will be distributed for signature promptly and signatures are received by the planned timeline
  • Communicate with and escalate the issues and risks, impacting the on-time completion of artifacts, to the PPR manager. Provide recommendations and input for improving the documentation process
  • Participate in the meetings/briefings directed by IRS Delivery and provide status of assignments and present impediments. 
  • Maintain all the artifacts in Web Apps SharePoint designated folders and/or other repositories defined by the IRS. 
  • Identify stories that would require documentation updates 
  • Support preparation for and facilitate elaboration sessions to decompose and detail business and technical user stories
  • Work with stakeholders to evaluate and create acceptance criteria for user stories
  • Coordinate product elaboration sessions, including planning working sessions and supporting agendas, tracking actions and working with stakeholders to close them out, and raising risks and impediments.

This can include the delivery of large-scale software applications & integrated systems, the development of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integrations solutions, and the delivery of technology enablement to support CIO services transformation. Our Systems Engineering offering focuses on key client issues that impact the core business, provide operational value, drive down the cost of quality, and enhance technology innovation.

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role 
  • 5+ years of experience working in an Agile Software Delivery operations
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile Architecture, and requirement gathering
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing Java EE Architecture 

Preferred: 

  • Excellent writing skills and a strong ability to grasp technical concepts. 
  • Previous experience and knowledge of EA and ELC Agile process work.
  • Ability to articulate and translate the instructions provided by the IRS EA Subject Matter Experts
  • Active Public Trust security clearance 
  • Ability to manage and mentor junior staff Prior experience with architecture of modern web applications and integration with existing business systems 
  • Strong documentation and communication skills 
  • Cloud and Enterprise Architecture experience 
  • Previous IRS experience preferred
