Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a SOLUTION SPECIALIST, STRATEGY & ANALYTICS, ANALYTICS & COGNITIVE in Lake Mary, Florida and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

DEVELOP COMPLEX AND VARIED BIG DATA PROJECTS INCLUDING COLLECTING, PARSING, MANAGING, ANALYZING, AND VISUALIZING LARGE DATASETS. ASSESS EXISTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND IDENTIFY GAPS BETWEEN BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND CURRENT SYSTEM CAPABILITIES. UTILIZE EXPLORATORY DATA ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES INCLUDING MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHMS TO IDENTIFY MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS, PATTERNS, AND TRENDS FROM COMPLEX DATA SETS AND DISCOVER OPPORTUNITIES IN DATASETS TO SUPPORT DECISION-MAKING. IMPLEMENT DATA TRANSFORMATIONS AND END-TO-END DESIGN OF COMMON COMPONENTS THAT ACCELERATE AND IMPROVE ABILITY TO WRITE EFFICIENT AND RELIABLE DATA PIPELINES. DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT SCALABLE DATA WORKFLOWS AND PIPELINES AND INTEGRATE DIVERSE DATA SOURCES AND SINKS TO CREATE COMPLEX ETL (EXTRACT, TRANSFORM, LOAD) PROCESSES AND FRAMEWORKS FOR ANALYTICS AND DATA MANAGEMENT. DELIVER MACHINE LEARNING PROJECTS FROM BEGINNING TO END, INCLUDING UNDERSTANDING THE BUSINESS NEED, AGGREGATING DATA, EXPLORING DATA, BUILDING AND VALIDATING PREDICTIVE MODELS, AND DEPLOYING COMPLETED MODELS WITH CONCEPT-DRIFT MONITORING AND RETRAINING TO DELIVER BUSINESS IMPACT TO THE ORGANIZATION. DEFINE SYSTEMS STRATEGY, DEVELOP SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, PROCESS DESIGN, PROTOTYPE, TEST CUSTOM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, AND SUPPORT SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION. CREATE TEST CASES AND PERFORM FUNCTIONAL, NONFUNCTIONAL, SYSTEM INTEGRATION (SIT), BLACK-BOX, WHITE-BOX, AND END-TO-END TESTING OF SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS. RESEARCH USER REPORTED ISSUES, IDENTIFY ROOT CAUSES AND RESOLUTIONS, IMPLEMENT FIXES, AND LIAISE BETWEEN BUSINESS FUNCTIONS, END USERS, AND TECHNICAL DELIVERY TEAMS.

Requirements

BACHELORS DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING (ANY), OR A RELATED FIELD AND ONE (1) YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. MUST ALSO HAVE ONE (1) YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: CREATING DATA-PIPELINES IN BIG DATA PLATFORM SUCH AS CLOUDERA AND DATABRICKS TO MEET BUSINESS NEEDS BY WRITING LOGIC IN PYTHON FILES USING PYTHON, APACHE HIVE, AND SQL (STRUCTURED LANGUAGE QUERY); PREPARING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATIVE ETL DATA MAPPINGS TO LOAD TARGET TABLES AND IMPLEMENTING DATA WAREHOUSE SOLUTIONS UTILIZING IBM INFOSPHERE DATASTAGE; UTILIZING MACHINE LEARNING TECHNIQUES INCLUDING LOGISTIC AND LINEAR REGRESSION, DECISION TREES, NEURAL NETWORKS, AND CLUSTERING TECHNIQUES; PROFILING AND TRANSFORMING LARGE DATASETS UTILIZING APACHE HIVE, PRESTO, APACHE SPARK SQL AND PYTHON TO DERIVE VALUABLE INFORMATION FOR DRIVING DATA-BASED STRATEGIC DECISIONS; DEVELOPING PYTHON, APACHE SPARK, AND APACHE HADOOP SCRIPTS TO FILTER, CLEANSE, MAP, AND MANIPULATE LARGE STRUCTURED AND UNSTRUCTURED DATASETS; DEVELOPING, PUBLISHING, AND BUILDING DASHBOARDS FOR DATA VISUALIZATION UTILIZING TABLEAU AND TABLEAU DESKTOP; IMPLEMENTING TRANSFORMATIONS BY WRITING UNIX SHELL SCRIPTS, SQL SCRIPTS, AND PL/SQL (PROCEDURAL LANGUAGE) SCRIPTS FOR DATA INGESTION, FILE VALIDATION, CREATING AUTOMATION SCRIPTS, AND MEETING BUSINESS NEEDS; DEVELOPING STORED PROCEDURES, TRIGGERS, CURSORS, TABLES, VIEWS, AND SQL JOINS USING ORACLE 11G, IBM DB2, TOAD (TOOLS FOR ORACLE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT), SQL DEVELOPER, AND IBM DATA STUDIO; CREATING SCHEMA OBJECTS UTILIZING ORACLE 11G, IBM DB2, TOAD, SQL DEVELOPER, IBM DATA STUDIO, AND INFORMATICA INCLUDING ATTRIBUTES, FACTS, HIERARCHIES, AND TRANSFORMATIONS; AND TRANSLATING BUSINESS NEEDS INTO ANALYTICAL REQUIREMENTS AND IMPLEMENTING ALGORITHMS IN LANGUAGES INCLUDING PYTHON, JAVA, AND SCALA WITH BIG DATA FRAMEWORKS, APACHE SPARK AND APACHE HADOOP.
