Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Specialist, Strategy & Analytics, Analytics & Cognitive in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 

 

Work You’ll Do 

Provide software, development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, including perform requirements gathering, architecting, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications, draft technical and functional design documentation, and identify and mitigate process and technology risks. Assess existing information system, identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, and estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Design sub-components of larger application systems, integrate software applications, and optimize the system structure to improve stability and performance. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Develop dashboard wireframes and design requirements based on discussion with an understanding of technical and visual design considerations. Research user reported issues with software applications, identify root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Create technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development.

  • 15% Travel required nationally.

Requirements 

Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or a related field and one (1) year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have one (1) year of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Developing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) code using informatica PowerCenter to load data from source to target system based on the STTM (Source to Target Mapping) documents;
  • Modifying the existing ETL solutions to accommodate changes in source data, table structure, and business requirements;
  • Creating scripts using BETQ (Basic Teradata Query) to import, export, and load data;
  • Performing unit testing and providing support during system integration (SIT), User Acceptance (UAT) phases, and production migrations;
  • Providing production support to troubleshoot the ETL job failures to meet the defined service-level agreement (SLA);
  • Designing change documentation and design the release management process utilizing Microsoft (MS) Suite;
  • Writing SQL (Structured Query Language) queries to solve business questions and providing reports as requested;
  • Using relational databases such as MS SQL server, and teradata for the data warehousing project; and
  • Using Jira project management to plan, track, and manage user stories.
