Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Specialist, Strategy and Analytics, Analytics and Cognitive in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.


Work You’ll Do

Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, estimate time and resources needed for development work, and create conceptual and technical designs using OOAD (object-oriented analysis and design) techniques. Function as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions, creating custom technology solutions to meet the varied needs of businesses; and define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design processes, prototype, test custom technology solutions, and support system implementations. Create project charters, schedules, and plans; define project tasks, allocate resources, and monitor project progress; and create test cases and perform Functional, Non-functional, SIT (System Integration), Black-box, White-box, and End-to-end testing of software applications. Research user-reported issues, identify root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Create technical and functional specifications including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code to be used for application development. Write functional and technical system requirements and use cases, create process flow diagrams, and finalize system requirements. Track application defects using defect tracking tools, coordinate defect resolution efforts, and document resolution details. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities. Develop solutions to problems by applying and utilizing knowledge of standard methods, tools, and methodologies related to the functional design, configuration, building, and testing of applications. Coordinate with subject matter experts and business analysts to design and develop configuration approaches, estimate configuration efforts, and produce design documents; and assess and diagnose problems by analyzing the interactions between key drivers.

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or a related field and one (1) year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have one (1) year of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Utilizing IDQ (Informatica Data Quality) to analyze business requirements and transform requirements into technical solutions to help business users centrally manage data quality business rules; and implementing data profiling, creating score cards and reference tables, and documenting data quality metrics and dimensions including accuracy, completeness, duplication, validity, and consistency using IDQ;
  • Designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing Informatica BDM (Big Data Management) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) mappings, transformations, and workflows to move data from multiple sources, including flat files, RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) and tables, as well as from XML (Extensible Markup Language), to ODS (Operational Data Store), data warehouse, and data marts for master data solutions, using Agile and Waterfall methodologies;
  • Designing generic infrastructures to meet data quality needs at the enterprise level and establishing service lines for IDQ by defining security plans and performing setups of data quality environments, including performing installations, upgrades, and other administrative tasks;
  • Establishing data and configuring the components needed for MDM (Master Data Management) Hub implementations, including implementing hierarchies, relationships types, packages, and profiles by using the hierarchy’s tool in model workbench;
  • Defining and configuring landing tables, staging tables, base objects, lookups, query groups, queries, packages, hierarchies, foreign-key relationships, and match and merge rules in MDM; and developing workflows to data domains for performing extraction, validation, cleansing, matching, loading, and other data-related activities to support client MDM requirements;
  • Utilizing Informatica BDE (Big Data Edition) for full project-development lifecycle including analysis, design, development, implementation, modeling, testing, and reconciling; and utilizing knowledge of the Informatica BDM (Big Data Management) architecture and required services to provide solutions based upon capacity, cost benefits, and research;
  • Performing ER (Entity Relationship) Modeling, OLTP (Online Transactional Processing) and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) system studies; developing Star Schemas and Snowflake Schema; and reading, writing, and maintaining complex SQL (Structured Query Language) in tools including Oracle SQL Developer, SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), and MySQL Workbench; and
  • Developing automated code management, deployment, and integration using SVN (Subversion), Jenkins, and IBM UCD (UrbanCode Deploy); performing Unix shell scripting and Python scripting; and configuring complex job schedules using CA Autosys for job schedules and automation.
