Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Specialist, Strategy & Analytics, Analytics & Cognitive in Mechanicsburg, PA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

 

Work You’ll Do

LEVERAGING ANALYTICS, ROBOTICS, AND COGNITIVE TECHNOLOGIES TO UNCOVER HIDDEN RELATIONSHIPS FROM VAST TROVES OF DATA, CREATING AND MANAGING LARGE-SCALE ORGANIZATIONAL INTELLIGENCE, AND GENERATING INSIGHTS THAT CATALYZE GROWTH AND EFFICIENCIES. PERFORMING ASSESSMENTS OF EXISTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS, AND IDENTIFYING GAPS BETWEEN BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND CURRENT SYSTEM CAPABILITIES. FUNCTIONING AS AN INTEGRATOR BETWEEN BUSINESS NEEDS AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS AND HELPING TO CREATE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS TO MEET CLIENTS' BUSINESS NEEDS. DEFINING SYSTEMS STRATEGY, DEVELOPING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, PROCESSING DESIGN, PROTOTYPING, AND TESTING CUSTOM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, AND SUPPORTING SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION. CREATING TEST CASES AND PERFORMING FUNCTIONAL, NON-FUNCTIONAL, SYSTEM INTEGRATION, BLACK-BOX, WHITE-BOX, AND END-TO-END TESTING OF SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS. RESEARCHING USER REPORTED ISSUES, IDENTIFYING ROOT CAUSES AND RESOLUTIONS, IMPLEMENTING FIXES, AND LIAISING BETWEEN BUSINESS FUNCTIONS, END USERS, AND TECHNICAL DELIVERY TEAMS. CREATING TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS, INCLUDING SCREEN LAYOUTS, NAVIGATION FLOWS, LOGIC DIAGRAMS, DATA MODELS, PROCESS MODELS, AND PSEUDO CODE TO BE USED FOR APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT. WRITING FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND USE CASES, CREATING PROCESS FLOW DIAGRAMS AND FINALIZING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS. WORKING WITH CLIENT SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS AND BUSINESS ANALYSTS TO DESIGN AND DEVELOP AN APPROACH FOR CONFIGURATION, ESTIMATE CONFIGURATION EFFORT, AND PRODUCE DESIGN DOCUMENTS. CREATING SOURCE-TO-TARGET MAPPING DOCUMENTS, EXTRACT, TRANSFORM, LOAD (ETL) SPECIFICATION DOCUMENTS AND UNIT TEST DOCUMENTS. DEVELOPING AND ENHANCING ETL INFORMATICA MAPPINGS, SESSIONS AND WORKFLOWS FOR LOADING THE DATA INTO DIMENSION, FACT, AND LOOK UP TABLES SIMULTANEOUSLY FROM HETEROGENEOUS SOURCE SYSTEMS (SQL SERVER, ORACLE, FLATFILES, XML FILES, NETEZZA) USING INFORMATICA POWER CENTER. DEVELOPING DIMENSIONS OF SLOWLY CHANGING DIMENSION (SCD) TYPE 1 AND SCD TYPE 2 TO LOAD CURRENT AND HISTORICAL DATA TO DIMENSIONS AND FACT TABLES IN THE DATA WAREHOUSE. CREATING PARAMETERS AND VARIABLES AT WORKFLOW, SESSION, MAPPING LEVELS TO DYNAMICALLY GENERATE DATA AND LOAD THE DATABASE. IMPORTING STORED PROCEDURES, FUNCTIONS AND PACKAGES DEFINED IN ORACLE DATABASE TO INFORMATICA ETL MAPPINGS. TROUBLESHOOTING DATABASE, WORKFLOWS, MAPPINGS, SOURCE, AND TARGET TO IDENTIFY BOTTLENECKS AND IMPROVE PERFORMANCE. CREATING DATABASE OBJECTS LIKE TABLES, VIEWS, MATERIALIZED VIEWS, PROCEDURES, PACKAGES, TRIGGERS, CURSORS (IMPLICIT, EXPLICIT, REF) USING ORACLE TOOLS LIKE TOAD, PL/ SQL, SQL PLUS AND SQL DEVELOPER. FACILITATING THE PREPARATION AND EXECUTION OF TEST SCENARIOS, TEST PLANS, AND TEST REPORTS PER BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS.

Requirements

BACHELOR'S DEGREE OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ANY STEM DEGREE OR A RELATED FIELD. ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN THE OFFERED POSITION OR A POSITION IN A RELATED OCCUPATION.
