Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Specialist, DC Platforms, SNET in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Create advisory and implementation services for middleware technologies ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Architect technical solutions including perform sizing, effort estimations, and security for middleware environments. Establish project plans spanning the design and implementation of middleware technologies and tools, routing, firewalls, traffic management, and network protocols. Leverage automation tools to automate software installations and application deployments in non-production and production environments. Ensure enterprise application monitoring is enabled for all non-production and production environments. Troubleshoot and resolve client engagement support issues, utilizing ticketing tools and ensuring that proper notifications and escalation protocols are established for projects. Manage all aspects of project communication with client stakeholders and Deloitte leadership. Coordinate with vendors to obtain licensing, and coordinate and facilitate resolutions of application issues. Act as a single point of contact to manage the escalation of critical project support issues. Prepare technical design documentation and submit this documentation for business and client approval. Provide revisions and recommendations on client application implementations and setup. Create process documentation of existing environment setups for operational activities.

  • 15% travel required nationally

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field and one (1) year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have one (1) year of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Installing, configuring, administering, tuning, and troubleshooting application development platforms in Virtual Windows and Unix environments including IBM AIX (Advanced Interactive eXecutive), Solaris, and Linux;
  • Installing, configuring, administering, tuning, and troubleshooting IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, and JBoss on Unix and Windows operating systems;
  • Offering production-level support to onsite and offshore teams throughout the full project development lifecycle;
  • Participating in infrastructure architecture work in multiple areas including hardware sizing, effort estimation, and security;
  • Installing and configuring monitoring tools including AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and Splunk in order to monitor business applications including Java and .Net applications;
  • Creating repeatable deployment strategies using Continuous Integration (CI) and deployment tools including Jenkins, Bamboo, Apache Ant, Chef, and Puppet;
  • Utilizing ticketing tools including Jira and ServiceNow in order to facilitate issue resolutions; and
  • Producing process documentation and end-to-end environment set-up documentation.
