Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Specialist, Customer & Marketing, Human Services Transformation in Mechanicsburg, PA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

ASSESS SOFTWARE BATCH EXECUTION RESULTS DAILY AND DIAGNOSE BATCH EXCEPTIONS TO IDENTIFY ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS. DEVELOP SOFTWARE CAPACITY MANAGEMENT PLAN AND ANALYZE DATABASE SIZING SPECIFICATIONS BY UTILIZING APPLICATION CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS AND INPUTS. UNDERSTAND KEY COMPONENTS, TRACK PROGRESS AND IDENTIFY ISSUES. CONDUCT REQUIREMENTS MEETING WITH APPLICATION ARCHITECTS AND TRACK LEADS TO UNDERSTAND SOFTWARE BATCH SCOPE, BATCH VOLUME TESTING REQUIREMENTS AND RELATED PRIORITIES. DEFINE CLEAR BUSINESS OBJECTIVES AND DESIRED OUTCOMES RELATED TO BATCH VOLUME TESTING AND CAPACITY PLANNING TO GUIDE OWN WORK AND THE WORK OF OTHERS. ASSIST IN MODIFYING SOFTWARE TO CORRECT ERRORS, ADAPT SOFTWARE TO NEW HARDWARE, AND UPGRADE INTERFACES TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE. CONSULT WITH ENGINEERING STAFF AND TEAM MEMBERS TO EVALUATE INTERFACE BETWEEN HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE, DEVELOP SPECIFICATIONS AND PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS, AND RESOLVE CUSTOMER PROBLEMS. ANALYZE SOFTWARE BATCH EXECUTION RESULTS DAILY, IN CLIENT ENVIRONMENT, TO DETERMINE, RECOMMEND AND PLAN MODIFICATION OF EXISTING SYSTEMS TO FIX EXCEPTIONS. DEVELOP AND DIRECT SOFTWARE BATCH VOLUME TESTING AND VALIDATION PROCEDURES.

Requirements

REQUIRES A BACHELORS DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS, MANAGEMENT, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATIONS OR A RELATED FIELD AND 1 (ONE) YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. IN THE ALTERNATIVE, THE EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT THREE (3) YEARS OF UNIVERSITY STUDY AND TWO (2) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE. CANDIDATE MUST ALSO HAVE ONE (1) YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • CONFIGURING OPCON TO EXECUTE SOFTWARE BATCHES TO PROCESS DATA IN BULK OPERATIONS;
  • ASSESSING SOFTWARE BATCH EXECUTION RESULTS DAILY USING OPCON;
  • MONITORING SOFTWARE BATCHES IN PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT IN OPCON, TROUBLESHOOTING BATCH ERRORS USING MICROSOFT (MS) SQL SERVER (STRUCTURED QUERY LANGUAGE), AND REEXECUTING SOFTWARE BATCHES UPON ERROR RESOLUTION;
  • GATHERING REQUIREMENTS FROM APPLICATION ARCHITECTS AND DEVELOPING SOFTWARE BATCH VOLUME SCOPE AND BATCH VOLUME TESTING METRICS USING MS TFS (TEAM FOUNDATION SERVER) AND MS SHAREPOINT;
  • MANAGING BATCH VOLUME TESTING CONFIGURATIONS AND CAPACITY MANAGEMENT PLANS USING MS TFS;
  • CAPTURING PERFORMANCE METRICS AND PARAMETERS USING SIGHTLINE;
  • ASSIGNING BATCH RELATED WORKLOADS TO TEAM MEMBERS USING SMARTERTRACK;
  • DEVELOPING SOFTWARE CAPACITY MANAGEMENT PLAN USING WINDOWS SERVER SPECIFICATIONS AND ORACLE.
  • 15% TRAVEL REQUIRED.
