Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a SOLUTION SPECIALIST, CORE BUSINESS OPERATIONS, SYSTEMS ENGINEERING in Lake Mary, Florida and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

DELIVER AND DEPLOY CUSTOM DEVELOPED APPLICATIONS FOR CLIENTS, AND PERFORM CODE DEVELOPMENT, MODULARIZATION, UNIT AND PERFORMANCE TESTING, CONFIGURATION, DEFECT MANAGEMENT, AND PRODUCTION DEPLOYMENT. IDENTIFY BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS, CREATE/DEVELOP/PERFORM FUNCTIONAL DESIGN, PROTOTYPING, TESTING, TRAINING, DEFINE SUPPORT PROCEDURES, AND SUPPORT IMPLEMENTATIONS. PERFORM FULL SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE IMPLEMENTATIONS TO PROVIDE END-TO-END SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS. PERFORM CONCEPTUAL AND TECHNICAL DESIGNS, INCLUDING THE USE OF OBJECT-ORIENTED ANALYSIS AND DESIGN TECHNIQUES. DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT WEB APPLICATIONS USING MICROSERVICE ARCHITECTURE IN JAVA AND C# TO FETCH AND STORE DATA FROM DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS, INCLUDING WEB SERVICES AND APIS (APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACE), AND TO INTEGRATE WITH THIRD-PARTY APPLICATIONS. UTILIZE MICROSOFT (MS) SQL SERVER (STRUCTURED QUERY LANGUAGE) AND ORACLE TO PERFORM CRUD (CREATE, READ, UPDATE, DELETE) OPERATIONS AND ADMINISTER DATABASES, AND CONVERT LEGACY DATA TO NEW SYSTEMS. PERFORM DATA MIGRATION FROM IBM DB2 TO SQL SERVER TO PROVIDE DATABASE SUPPORT FOR MIGRATED APPLICATIONS AND CODE MIGRATION FROM LEGACY TECHNOLOGIES LIKE COBOL TO NEW CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGIES LIKE JAVA AND C# TO MAKE APPLICATIONS EFFICIENT WITH CURRENT TREND IN TECHNOLOGY. MANAGE MULTIPLE INSTANCES OF MICROSERVICES ON CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE SUCH AS AWS. UTILIZE MS TFS (TEAM FOUNDATION SERVER), APACHE SVN (SUBVERSION), BITBUCKET AND JIRA FOR REQUIREMENTS MANAGEMENT, TEST MANAGEMENT, AND BUSINESS PROCESS TESTING FOR APPLICATION ENVIRONMENT AND SOURCE CODE MANAGEMENT.

Requirements 

BACHELOR'S DEGREE OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING (ANY), OR A RELATED FIELD AND ONE (1) YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. MUST ALSO HAVE ONE (1) YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: DESIGNING, DEVELOPING, AND MAINTAINING WEB-BASED APPLICATIONS UTILIZING JAVA/J2EE (JAVA 2 ENTERPRISE EDITION), JAVA SPRING BOOT, JAVA SERVER PAGES (JSP), JAVASCRIPT OBJECT NOTATION (JSON), JAVASCRIPT, SERVLETS, JQUERY, HYPERTEXT MARKUP LANGUAGE (HTML), AND EXTENSIBLE MARKUP LANGUAGE (XML); DEVELOPING WEB API'S UTILIZING JAVA AND J2EE TECHNOLOGIES INCLUDING, SPRING MODEL-VIEW-CONTROLLER (MVC) AND SPRING BOOT MICROSERVICE ARCHITECTURE TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO APPLICATIONS TO RETRIEVE AND UPDATE INFORMATION, AND TO PROVIDE SCALABLE FAULT TOLERANT ARCHITECTURE; CREATING PROTOTYPES FOR DATA MIGRATION USING SQL SERVER MIGRATION ASSISTANT (SSMA) TO MIGRATE DATABASE SCHEMAS FROM DB2 TO SQL SERVER, AND MIGRATING LEGACY SYSTEMS WRITTEN IN MAINFRAME COBOL TO JAVA BASED SYSTEMS TO MAKE THEM COST EFFICIENT AND FEATUREFUL ACCORDING TO RECENT TECHNOLOGY TREND; PERFORMING CRUD OPERATIONS AND DATABASE TRANSACTIONS ON DATABASE SYSTEMS INCLUDING ORACLE, MYSQL, SQL SERVER AND DB2, AND MANAGING COMMON CODE REPOSITORIES, INCLUDING GITHUB, SVN, AND MS TFS (TEAM FOUNDATION SERVER) FOR SOURCE CONTROL; INTEGRATING CONTINUOUS DEPLOYMENT OF THE CODE USING JENKINS AND MS TFS TO ENSURE CHANGES TO CODEBASE ARE CORRECT AND STABLE FOR IMMEDIATE AUTONOMOUS DEPLOYMENT TO A PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT; DEVELOPING USER INTERFACE (UI) COMPONENTS TO MEET REQUIREMENTS UTILIZING ANGULAR 7, HTML, AND CASCADING STYLE SHEETS (CSS) AND MAINTAINING RELATIONAL DATA IN APPLICATIONS APPLYING JAVA PERSISTENCE API (JPA) INTERFACE; UTILIZING TFS AND JIRA FOR REQUIREMENTS MANAGEMENT, TEST MANAGEMENT, AND BUSINESS PROCESS TESTING FOR APPLICATION ENVIRONMENT, AND SOURCE CODE MANAGEMENT; AND WRITING PERFORMANCE SCRIPTS UTILIZING APACHE JMETER TO TEST THE PERFORMANCE OF THE APPLICATION.
