Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Manager, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Mechanicsburg, PA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Manage multiple Database Administration teams in deployments of coding, cloning, refreshing, patching, backups, and restoration of multiple middleware components. Coordinate with technical and functional teams and able to understand the criticality of activities and schedule the same accordingly. Manage analysis, design, programming and testing for presentation, reporting and data ETL layers of enterprise data warehouse. Work in multidimensional data modeling, such as star schemas, snowflakes, normalized and de-normalized models, handling slow-changing dimensions and attributes. Manage weekly cold backups of database and perform database recovery activities. Provide expertise in such activities as maintaining instances, maintenance of file system and taking appropriate backups for security and consistency. Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.

Requirements

Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Engineering (Any), any STEM field or a related field and three (3) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative the employer will accept a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) and five (5) years of progressive related work experience. Must have three (3) years of related work experience with: Utilizing the build and deploy process built for (CICD) continuous integration & continuous deployment; Leveraging JIRA, Informatica, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Code Repository to drive analysis, design, programming and testing for presentation, data and reporting in ETL layers of enterprise data warehouse; Utilizing SQL Server Maintenance Plans and scheduled backup on Crontab in Linux to oversee weekly cold backups of database and performing database recovery activities; Performing role of counselor and coach, actively participating in staff recruitment and retention activities, and providing leadership and support for delivery teams and staff; Improving internal processes and promoting knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence; Overseeing major database administration tasks, including root cause analysis, troubleshooting, optimizing and monitoring connections utilizing SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Oracle Database Monitoring, and Unix Scripting; Architecting, developing, testing, and documenting Data Integration and Migration (ETL) solutions and frameworks built on various platforms including Informatica and SQL Service Integration Services (SSIS); Working with business teams to develop, review, finalize and document Business Intelligence, including reporting and dashboard requirements based on the identified key performance metrics; Overseeing database administration tasks using SSMS, SQL Command Line, and SQL Plus for development and test databases including planning, developing, testing, and documenting backup and recovery procedures, database version upgrades, and export and import procedures for data dumps; and Developing Platform installation guides for SQL Clustering, High Availability installation of Informatica, SSRS, and SSIS instances.
