The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team
Work you’ll do
- As a Deloitte Systems/Software engineer, you will be on-site, integrated into customer teams that truly enjoy their work and mission, to rapidly help gather and refine requirements to help build and deploy new software capabilities in an Agile development environment.
- Get to utilize and grow your engineering expertise alongside our other amazing team members to design, develop, and maintain customer-centric capabilities to push the mission forward and truly help protect our nation.
- Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
- Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or other technical field (or 6 years of equivalent experience)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
- Some experience with Agile design and delivery
- 6+ years experience in Software engineering, software development, or related experience.
- Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
- Ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
- Experience working Apache Anaconda, Docker, Kubernetes and Python
- Ability to solve complex problems, improve business operations, and manage the complexity inherent with technology change
