Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Software Engineer, Manager in Philadelphia, PA.

Work You’ll Do

Responsible for design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of new data driven web based applications, and providing support for existing systems. Develop new services offerings and technology solutions to assist in delivery tax services to clients. Lead a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions for moderate to complex projects in a fast-paced environment, including gathering and documenting system/business requirements as user stories and use cases, providing process and screen flows, developing and executing test cases and test product concepts, and developing and maintaining project plans. Supervise and mentor Senior and Staff team members. Interact with client(s)/stakeholders to understand business problems being addressed by eliciting detailed functional requirements and modeling requirements. Review project requirements and estimate the necessary time-to-completion. Create unit test plans and scenarios for development unit testing. Interact with other development teams in an effort to ensure a consistent, uniform approach to software development. Follow software development best practices to maximize the predictability and success of projects. Work with all stakeholders to create business cases, and identify and confirm necessary resources throughout the product lifecycle. Cross-coordinate and regularly communicate with other Product Owners to facilitate cross-team collaboration and prioritize and maintain a comprehensive product backlog for all products in the technology portfolio. Deploy all integration artifacts to testing and production environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Technology, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Five years as a Software Engineer, Manager or related occupation gaining experience performing software development using C#, ASP.NET, AngularJS, and SQL Server.
  • Experience must include five years of:
    • Designing and implementing software applications and enhancements, developing new features, providing production support, and resolving issues for clients;
    • Performing application migration from on-premises server to Azure cloud server;
    • Interacting with business teams to gather requirements and interacting with business analysts and clients to understand business problems;
    • Utilizing GitLab to maintain software version control;
    • Participating in the design and development of key architectural components during product release cycles;
    • Translating business needs into functional and nonfunctional requirements, creating technical design documents, and ensuring the delivery of appropriate technical solutions;
    • Collaborating with a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions and assisting with the day-to-day activities of a development team in an Agile environment;
    • Building web applications through all phases of the application lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design architecture, and deployment and maintenance;
    • Designing and building object oriented applications, and designing data objects, functions, and stored procedures in SQL Server; and
    • Customizing and maintaining Azure DevOps Server projects, including building and releasing templates.
