Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Software Engineer, Manager in Dallas, TX.

Work You’ll Do

Responsible for design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of new data driven web based applications, and providing support for existing systems. Lead a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions for moderate to complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Supervise and mentor senior and staff team members. Develop and maintain the software framework and services using the .NET framework and Microsoft technologies. Interact with business analyst/client(s) to understand business problems being addressed. Review project requirements and estimate the necessary time-to-completion. Create unit test plans and scenarios for development unit testing. Carry out code reviews and unit testing of new development. Document new developments, procedures or test plans as needed. Interact with other development teams in an effort to ensure a consistent, uniform approach to software development. Follow software development best practices to maximize the predictability and success of projects. Prepare technical design documents using enterprise standard documentation tools. Deploy all integration artifacts to testing and production environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Five years of experience performing software development using C#, ASP.NET, SQL server, and Windows services.
  • Experience must include five years of:
    • Interfacing with business analysts and clients to understand business problems, translating business needs into functional and nonfunctional requirements, creating technical design documents, and ensuring the delivery of appropriate technical solutions;
    • Performing requirements planning, gathering and analysis by contributing high-level input to requirement gathering sessions in the form of user stories and use cases by coordinating with business sponsors;
    • Designing and developing new business processes, and assessing and recommending improvements to existing processes;
    • Liaising between business teams and software development teams to ensure that requirements are implemented as per business needs;
    • Collaborating with a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions and performing code reviews;
    • Developing and maintaining the software framework and services using .NET and Microsoft technologies;
    • Utilizing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software, including UI path, to perform tax allocations and calculations;
    • Utilizing tax return automation software to perform calculations, generate workpaper packages, and transfer data to other tax software systems, including GoSystem;
    • Utilizing tax automation software to generate K-1 filings for partnerships and calculate percentages for partnership allocations; and
    • Performing business analysis using Agile development methodologies.
