Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Software Engineer, Lead in Atlanta, GA.
Work You’ll Do
Design and develop web-based solutions for our clients; focus on technology driven solutions and work side-by-side with tax professionals to serve the needs our clients. Responsible for design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of new data driven web-based applications and providing support for existing systems. Work with a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions for moderate to complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Mentor junior team members both onshore and offshore. Develop and maintain the software framework and services using the .NET framework and Microsoft technologies. Contribute to and lead architecture and design activities. Interact with business analysts to understand business problem(s) being addressed by the project. Review project requirements and assess and estimate the necessary time-to-completion. Create unit test plans and scenarios for development unit testing. Carry out code reviews and unit testing of new development, and document new development procedures or test plans as needed. Prepare technical design documents using enterprise standard documentation tools. Deploy all integration artifacts to a testing and production environment.

Requirements
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Eighteen months of experience as a Software Engineer, Lead or related occupation requiring experience designing and implementing applications and enhancements.
- Experience must include eighteen months of:
- Assisting in the design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of new data driven web-based applications and providing support for existing systems;
- Assisting with performing assessments of existing information systems, identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, and estimating time and resources needed;
- Assisting with performing various phases of system development lifecycle (SDLC) implementations for custom applications, including requirements gathering, analysis, testing, implementation, and post-production support;
- Evaluating clients' technology needs, developing customized systems, drafting technical and functional design documentation, and identifying and mitigating risks in process and technology for client engagements;
- Assisting with performing fit gap assessments of the user stories by mapping the business requirements to the system processes and functionality to identify gaps that need to be solved using technology solutions;
- Preparing technical design documents using enterprise standard documentation tools and deploying all integration artifacts to a testing and production environment;
- Constructing client work plans to ensure clear communication, organization, and coordination between multiple stakeholders to achieve client goals;
- Researching and troubleshooting database issues and reported issues with software systems, identifying root causes, and implementing fixes;
- Assisting with designing end-to-end functional and technical solutions, including data conversion, system integrations, reports, and custom components based on business requirements; and
- Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for system development.
