Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Solution Specialist, Strategy & Analytics, Analytics & Cognitive in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally

Work You’ll Do

DRIVE ADVISORY AND IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES OF LARGE-SCALE DATA ECOSYSTEMS INCLUDING DATA MANAGEMENT, GOVERNANCE AND THE INTEGRATION OF STRUCTURED AND UNSTRUCTURED DATA, TO GENERATE INSIGHTS LEVERAGING CLOUD-BASED PLATFORMS TO HELP COMPANIES UNLOCK THE VALUE OF BIG TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENTS FOR CLIENTS IN THE INSURANCE, FINANCIAL SERVICES, HEALTHCARE, STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT, TELECOM, AND RETAIL INDUSTRIES. MODERNIZE BUSINESS AND CORE ENVIRONMENTS TO LEVERAGE TECHNOLOGY INNOVATIONS ACROSS MULTIPLE PLATFORMS, AND DRIVE OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY BY MAINTAINING DATA ECOSYSTEMS, AND SOURCING ANALYTICS EXPERTISE FOR CONTINUOUS INSIGHTS AND IMPROVEMENTS. PERFORM DATA MANAGEMENT INCLUDING MASTER DATA, METADATA, DATA ARCHITECTURE, DATA GOVERNANCE, DATA QUALITY, AND DATA MODELING. PARTICIPATE IN SETTING ENGAGEMENT OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE, DEVELOPING WORK PLANS FOR COMPONENTS OF ENGAGEMENTS, COORDINATING ACTIVITIES BETWEEN WORK STREAMS, AND IDENTIFYING CHANGES IN SCOPE. LEAD VARIOUS ASPECTS OF FULL DATA-CENTRIC DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE FOR IMPLEMENTATIONS INCLUDING REQUIREMENTS GATHERING, BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYSIS, SCRIPTING, CODE DEPLOYMENTS, ENHANCEMENT VALIDATION, TRIAGE OF DEFECTS AND CHANGE REQUESTS, AND ESCALATIONS. DEVELOP THOUGHTWARE AND POINT-OF-VIEW DOCUMENTS RELATED TO TRENDING TOPICS INCLUDING CLOUD, MACHINE LEARNING, AND THE INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT), AND ADOPT EMERGING TECHNOLOGICAL TRENDS INCLUDING PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS, COGNITIVE ANALYTICS, AND MACHINE LEARNING, TO DEVELOP CREATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR PRESSING ISSUES. PROVIDE INDUSTRY INSIGHT AND ANALYTICAL SUPPORT USING DATA MINING, PATTERN MATCHING, DATA VISUALIZATION, AND PREDICTIVE MODELLING TOOLS TO PRODUCE ANALYSIS AND ALGORITHMS, AND CONSOLIDATE THE INFERENCES TO PRESENT RECOMMENDATIONS TO ENABLE CRITICAL DECISION-MAKING.

Requirements

BACHELORS DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING (ANY) OR A RELATED FIELD AND TWO (2) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. MUST ALSO HAVE TWO (2) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • EXECUTING, MAINTAINING, AND ENHANCING ENTERPRISE-LEVEL DATA ARCHITECTURE USING INFORMATICA POWERCENTER AND POWEREXCHANGE TOOL;
  • DEVELOPING ETL (EXTRACT, TRANSFORM, LOAD) PROCESSES FOR DATA EXTRACTION, TRANSFORMATION, AND LOADING USING INFORMATICA POWERCENTER TO MOVE DATA FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES INCLUDING FLAT FILES, RDBMS (RELATIONAL DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM) AND TABLES, AS WELL AS FROM XML (EXTENSIBLE MARKUP LANGUAGE) TO DATA WAREHOUSES AND DATA MARTS BY USING AGILE AND WATERFALL METHODOLOGIES;
  • DESIGNING ETL TOOLS AND PROCESSES IN TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENTS INVOLVING 10 TB (TERABYTES) OF DATA;
  • DEFINING ALL PHASES OF THE PROJECT INCLUDING REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS, DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, TESTING, AND PRODUCTION SUPPORT;
  • DEVELOPING SQL (STRUCTURED QUERY LANGUAGE) SOLUTIONS WITH ORACLE SQL DEVELOPER, SQL SERVER MANAGEMENT STUDIO (SSMS), AND MYSQL WORKBENCH;
  • DESIGNING DATA WAREHOUSE CONCEPTS INCLUDING DIMENSIONAL MODELING AND IMPLEMENTING DATA WAREHOUSE ARCHITECTURE;
  • WRITING, ANALYZING, UNDERSTANDING, AND DEBUGGING UNIX SHELL SCRIPTS AND IMPLEMENTING PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION USING HINTS, PARALLEL PROCESSING, PUSH DOWN OPTIMIZATION, INDEXING AT THE ETL AND DATABASE LEVEL; AND
  • SCHEDULING ETL JOBS USING SCHEDULER TOOLS INCLUDING TIDAL ENTERPRISE SCHEDULER (TES), ASG-ZENA, AND INFORMATICA SCHEDULER.
