Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Solution Specialist, Strategy & Analytics, Analytics & Cognitive in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

 

Work You’ll Do

Leveraging analytics, robotics, and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, creating and managing large-scale organizational intelligence, and generating insights that catalyze growth and efficiencies. Directing large technology engagements and participating in projects including ideation, identification, planning and cost estimation through requirements, design, development, testing, implementation and production. Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, processing design, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Creating test cases and performing functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources and monitoring project progress. Researching user reported issues, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Writing functional and technical system requirements and use cases, creating process flow diagrams and finalizing system requirements. Performing conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques. Creating clear, effective, and detailed deliverable content, including written, visual, and oral deliverables, which are informed by research, analytics, and client meetings. Presenting content that addresses client needs in solutioning sessions to drive toward a decision, and validating that decision with client leadership to drive the company’s growth and progress. Assessesing and diagnosing a problem and analyzing the interactions between key drivers. Defining clear business objectives and desired outcomes to guide own work and the work of others. Translating business needs into associated technical requirements and understanding solutions that will incorporate these requirements. Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall lifecycle for the design, development, testing and implementation of S&A solutions for enterprise-level clients. Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that satisfy client needs using Google Cloud, Dell Boomi, Python, Shell scripting and Agile methodology. Creating data pipelines for data migrations for the design and development of solutions. Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communication of updates to internal and external stakeholders. Using the following relevant tools/technologies in the performance of project-related responsibilities: Terdata, Netezza, PL/SQL, Python, Google Cloud, Informatica Power center, Talend data integration, Dell Boomi, Unix, PowerShell, Shell scripting.  

  • 15% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM degree or a related field. Two years of experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation. Must have two years of experience with:

  • Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall lifecycle for the design, development, testing and implementation of S&A solutions for enterprise-level clients;    
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that satisfy client needs using Google Cloud, Dell Boomi, Python, Shell scripting and Agile methodology;    
  • Creating data pipelines for data migrations for the design and development of solutions;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communication of updates to internal and external stakeholders

In the alternative, the employer will accept three years of post-secondary studies plus three years of experience.
