Position Summary

Position Description

The successful candidate will be a Solution Architect in the internal Cloud Managed Services organization. A Solution Architect is responsible for facilitating the designs for application hosting solutions, and spearheading infrastructure and networking implementation efforts with architecture, devops, and application product teams.

Job Responsibilities / Primary Competencies: 

  • Promotes use of IT Infrastructure Technologies based on business requirements
  • Defines systems/platforms architecture and integration strategies and recommends design solutions
  • Advises and consults on technologies costs, benefits, and implementation requirements
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Server platforms with emphasis on IIS technologies
  • Anticipates business hosting needs and researches technologies that would be appropriate to meet those business needs
  • Demonstrates an ability to manage multiple project deliverables on multiple projects effectively
  • Demonstrates a working ability to foster a cooperative environment with the entire project team. This resource is viewed as a “team player”, who understands the culture and how to be effective in it
  • Seeks opportunities to implement standards, policies, and process improvements
  • Actively promotes teamwork and inclusion to ensure that all views are heard, and requirements are accounted for
  • Identifies the peer groups who should be participating to ensure consistency and success


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline is desired
  • 3+ years of related experience in Information technology services required
  • Familiarity with ITIL and SAFe preferred
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to interact effectively with various levels of management and staff in both technical and business roles
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to prepare architecture blueprints and document requirements
  • Knowledge of cloud IT tools, automation, and service management platforms and functions
  • Understanding of computer networks as they relate to software and database design, development, and implementation. This includes knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, Routers, Firewalls, Load Balancing, Security Certificates and DMZ environments
  • Exposure to multiple hosting environments such as AIX, Linux, Windows Server
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
