If so, we are looking for an energetic Payroll Tax professional to assist with ensuring accurate Payroll Tax compliance for multiple jurisdictions; deposits and returns within our Finance Organization office based in Hermitage, TN.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Payroll Coordinator using Payroll Tax skillset, you will use your organizational skills and attention to detail to assist Payroll Tax department with completing informational instructions in support of the Deloitte US entities. You will maintain a high level of professional and ethical standards in communicating with both external and internal contacts. The role may require flexibility around overtime. This role provides support for the US Firm biweekly Payroll, involving over 70,000 employees:
- Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local payroll tax, unemployment, disability insurance regulations and requirements by balancing the biweekly payroll taxes and making all regulatory deposits and filings.
- Aid in the preparation of all required quarterly and annual returns including the preparation and dispatch of W-2’s, W-2c’s, 941’s, 940’s, and State and Local Reconciliations.
- Make all tax returns and deposits via latest technology possible including Internet, EFT, and manual filings.
- Maintain a customer service center providing payroll tax support and SAP system expertise to Payroll Resource Team.
- Research unusual employee situations involving complex payroll tax issues.
- Other tasks and projects as assigned.

What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Associate degree or Bachelor preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in multi-state withholding and multi-state unemployment tax filing, preferably in a large corporate setting.
- Must have a working knowledge of a multitude of payroll and payroll tax laws and procedures. This position requires experience in dealing with federal, state, and numerous local tax jurisdictions.
- Candidate must possess a working knowledge of multi-state regulations for reciprocal agreements.
- Must possess outstanding analytical skills, including experience will various Microsoft Office software.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a team player and be able to consistently meet rigorous statutory, firm, and department deadlines.

- MasterTax (ADP) software experience is a plus.
- Experience with Puerto Rico and/or Canada payroll tax is a plus.
- Experience with SAP HCM Payroll is a plus.
- Fundamentals of Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
