Deloitte is currently searching for a Senior Database Administrator to lead and support the administration of business intelligence and web applications in AWS and support the development, maintenance, and enhancements of database capabilities on an agile, cross-functional team.
Please note: This position is on-site at the client site 90%.

Analytics & Cognitive will work with our clients to:
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Top Secret Security clearance (or higher)
- 5+ years of experience with PostgresSQL
- 5+ years of experience implementing, performance tuning, and supporting multiple types of databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- 5+ years of experience performing general troubleshooting, database maintenance activities including backup and recovery, capacity planning, and managing user accounts.
- 5+ years of experience managing schemas, indexing, objects, and partitioning the tables.
- 5+ years of experience creating data design models, database architecture, and data repository design.
- 2+ years of experience creating, managing, and implementing PostgreSQL extensions.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Willingness to work on the client site up to 90%
Preferred:
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
- Prior government consulting experience
- Experience with AWS services and capabilities such as Relational Database Service, Data Migration Service, CloudWatch monitoring and alerting, taking, maintaining, and restoring from snapshots, interpreting database logs, networking, and security group maintenance.
- AWS Certified Database – Specialty Certification
- Experience coaching or mentoring junior staff
- Knowledge of machine learning, data mining, and statistical modeling
