Position Summary

The Strategic Analytics team, part of the Deloitte US Firm’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization, combines strategic business consulting, analytical thinking and data science skillsets to solve complex business challenges for the Business Units and Enabling Areas. Our project-based team is looking for a Senior Manager to lead projects focused on data-driven operations and strategy. Activities include developing project vision and approach, managing stakeholders, leading project delivery, and preparing clear, concise and compelling executive-level presentations. This role creates great value for Deloitte’s Businesses by supporting large scale initiatives and delivering high quality, actionable recommendations that are integral to leadership decisions and helping Deloitte achieve its strategic priorities.

Work you’ll do

Internal business consulting

  • Translate conceptual questions into data-driven analyses to allow leaders to make informed decisions
  • Apply data-driven strategic thinking and hypothesis-based consulting to frame complex questions into analytical problems and provide meaningful insights
  • Structure and guide modeling efforts that underpin strategic recommendations
  • Design and facilitate workshops and working sessions with senior executives to build understanding and drive action
  • Drive large, complex engagements, providing a forward-looking perspective and helping leadership make key decisions
  • Transform data into useful information tailored to leadership needs through storyboarding and data visualization
  • Develop executive level presentations to communicate and achieve consensus for recommendations
  • Facilitate collaboration across Enabling Areas and Businesses to drive systemic solutions and sustainable impact
  • Develop and operationalize reporting to measure the impact of changes

Leading others

  • Simultaneously lead multiple projects considering practitioner strengths, experience and development opportunities
  • Develop and mentor multiple junior team members
  • Provide guidance in staff recruitment, performance management and retention activities

Driving collaboration across the Firm

  • Work with key stakeholder groups to build cross-functional relationships across the organization
  • Provide ad-hoc expertise on project framework, approach, tools and Firm data for other firmwide initiatives
  • Facilitate collaboration with ITS to drive systemic solutions and sustainable impact across projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or similar; advanced degree preferred
  • 10-12 years of relevant work experience in client-facing or internal consultative roles
  • Flexible work style. Some moderate travel (up to 10%) may be required given the expected leadership interactions and the hands-on nature of the work. A US-based office location is required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to lead others to deliver quality work under tight timelines and shifting priorities
  • Client-service mindset and a desire to take on tough and challenging projects. The scope and variety of work will change frequently depending on the current project portfolio
  • Solid understanding of Deloitte’s business operations and go-to market structure, finance and financial analysis and sound business acumen
  • High level of proficiency with data manipulation (data structuring, wrangling) and analysis with the ability to guide others
  • Track record of advising senior leaders on wide range of business issues
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to filter through ambiguity but able to also execute on the details, while working well under pressure and acting in the utmost confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Superior project management, time management, and client relationship management skills
  • Able to manage several projects simultaneously and autonomously while balancing timelines, priorities and deliverables

This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $126535-$233030.
