The Team

At Deloitte Tax LLP, our Global Employer Services professionals help multinational clients develop programs, processes and digital offerings to manage a global workforce and the compliance obligations arising from global mobility, business travel and remote working. People within our technology group come from a diverse background – they partner with our go-to-market teams and global clients to solve challenging problems and design experiences and products that anticipate what our Deloitte clients will want and also solutions that keep them compliant with global and local regulations.

Work you’ll do

As an Senior Manager Enterprise Architect within the business-aligned, GES Technology group, you will have the opportunity to work directly with product and solution owners, platform and solution architects, program leaders, and software design teams. Your engagement will help to ensure our future solution design meets the needs of a rapidly-growing practice, prioritizes software development principles and methodology to build collectively and through effective collaboration, and ensures various solution development stakeholders are coordinated and aligned. These efforts will support ongoing business needs, as well as a multitude of Digital transformation programs impacting a global audience.

  • Serve as the “voice of the business” as a lead enterprise architect for broadscale transformation across practice solutions
  • Provide technology inputs, advise on strategy considerations, and align on technology roadmap with key business partners at the intersection of Tax business strategy and Technology Landscape
  • Understand and enhance the long-term vision of desired capabilities, the needed architecture and infrastructure, and the options / methods to deliver that capability (packaged, custom, solutions, etc.)
  • Collaborate across multiple transformation projects, existing/legacy solutions for ongoing business support, and serve as a lead architect for a business-led, multi-year global transformation
  • Lead and guide a large team of solution and cloud architects and provide oversight / input to a large technology group developing an ecosystem of tax technology solutions applications
  • Align team(s) of architects across various levels/functions, on the overall Tax Technology strategy of cloud-native solutions to develop secure, resilient and scalable designs
  • Establish and maintain a Technology Roadmap to consolidate assets, provide mainstream operational support, and introduce emerging technology solutions
  • Reduce business risks, operational costs, and time-to-market through all phases of Secure-SDLC, via the introduction and optimization of development standards and processes
  • Mentor architects and tech leads and develop the next generation of technology leaders for Deloitte Tax; build capabilities in the business-aligned Technology Center
  • Overall technology leadership for multi-disciplinary team: Software Architects, Software Developers, Cloud Infrastructure
  • Reduce technology risks through collaboration and alignment with leaders from Business Risk, Deloitte Technology and Cyber Security

Qualifications


Required:

  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business/management information systems, informatics, or other related degree. Master’s degree would be welcomed but not required.
  • 10+ years in software design, architecture, and leadership experience. Previously demonstrated experience as an enterprise architect with significant leadership experience/interaction with business stakeholders required.
  • 6+ years of experience with designing enterprise-scale resilient and scalable solutions, using microservice architecture and cloud-native solutions (AWS and other cloud platforms)
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained:
    • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA exam
    • If not CPA eligible:
      • Licensed Attorney
      • Enrolled Agent
      • Certifications:
        • Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)
        • Project Management Professional (PMP)
        • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
        • Professional Cloud Solutions Architect Certification
        • Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Preferred:

  • Experience with developing Technology Roadmaps for an eco-system of inter-connected applications, and aligning the technology with the business strategy
  • Experience with developing Architecture and Software Development Standards and Processes
  • Experience with managing technology projects and with Agile Development Methodology
  • Experience with managing multiple workstreams with scoping, planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, communications, and training identifying potential project risks and demonstrate awareness of project interdependencies across the technology enterprise
  • Overseeing the project delivery by third party partners and ensure team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently
  • Creating and managing integrated timelines, realigning delivery plans with direction from the Program Lead and through conversations with global business stakeholders, the core project team and technology delivery partner(s)
  • Tracking project status, risk, issue communications and develop executive level PowerPoint presentations
  • Taking on a hands-on role to support other program areas to document requirements, facilitating process flow design, leading calls with risk communities or supporting organization change management to deliver program objectives as necessary and under the guidance of the program lead
  • Strong analytical, consultative, quantitative, and project management skills
  • Extensive experience leading software and solution design programs, specifically in broad architecture and design roles
  • Strong executive presence, and excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills with an aptitude for working as part of a global team
  • Problem solving and critical thinking and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects from start to finish
  • Experience in driving cross-organizational initiatives
  • A proven strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to the creation of business cases, and build roadmaps under the guidance of a program leader
