This position is responsible for hospitality-related services such as supporting the guest arrival process as well as meetings, events and the daily work environment at a facility located in Wichita, Kansas on the campus of Wichita State University. The Smart Factory @ Wichita (SF@W) is an immersive experience that features a fully connected end-to-end production line. Furnished with the latest in physical and digital technology representing all categories of factory advancements, the facility is a launching pad for collaboration across all areas of smart operation.

Work you’ll do

  • Professionally facilitate the guest arrival process including security badges/access
  • Support day-of execution for meetings and events including coordination with team/vendors, last minute logistical needs, ensuring effective set-up/execution of event and providing course correcting instructions/directions, when needed.
  • Provide workflow coordination ensuring seamless coordination and completion of service requests with Smart Factory @ WSU Core Team as well as other Deloitte resources.
  • Assist or facilitates office services support requests which may include mail and copy/print support, supply maintenance, invoicing, facility/housekeeping issues, kitchen/pantry management and A/V maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Manage and foster relationships with customers, team, vendors and other key stakeholders through effective communications, collaboration, and engagement with purpose to deliver a “best in class” experience.
  • Maintain knowledge and uses departmental software, as required.
  • Cross-train in other department service areas to provide back-up support as needed.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as required or as assigned by leadership team.

The team

At Deloitte, the internal operations team provides a full range of hospitality and business services. We help our Deloitte professionals with daily office support needs, meeting and event planning and execution, and an array of other services related to office operations and facility management. Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and skills to think proactively to provide a holistic customer-centric “experience” for our Deloitte professionals, clients, and guests.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, bachelor’s or associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of related hospitality or office support experience in a corporate, hospitality, service-oriented or customer-centric environment
  • Strong technical skills, including advanced experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work occasional overtime
  • Must be willing to be trained in all functional areas
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
