Work you’ll do : 

Marketplace Coordinators are responsible for supporting the Marketplace Event Planning team with venue sourcing, vendor management and overall logistics support. You will also plan and manage a portfolio of live or virtual, small to medium size events hosted across the country for our Deloitte professionals and clients. You will manage the end-to-end planning and execution for meeting stakeholders working with and leveraging team members and vendors for successful day-of delivery. There will be development opportunities to provide planning assistance for larger scale meetings, manage special projects and create and drive new processes for the Meeting & Event Services (MES) Team. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Deliver exceptional client service with a consultative, solutions-oriented approach 
  • Support Marketplace planners with logistics, planning, venue research and vendor management for events delivered throughout the country.
  • Manage end-to-end planning and execution of small to medium size events
  • Manage the production of small to medium size client facing virtual events in Zoom 
  • Support overall MES projects as needed including data integrity projects
  • Forecast management and impeccable data integrity in the MES meeting management system
  • Strict adherence to meeting protocols (cost-saving measures, risk policies, contract approvals)
  • When planning an event, liaison between meeting stakeholders, vendors, registration, procurement and operations teams; understand and interpret meeting objectives and navigate the firm’s event planning processes on behalf of the meeting sponsor
  • Source appropriate venues on behalf of meeting stakeholders to capture vision and objective of event while also meeting budget, size and location/date requirements
  • Source and secure vendors such as AV, catering, florist, photographer, etc.
  • On-site support for designated meetings to ensure successful meeting execution
  • Audit and submit all event related invoices for processing
The team :

At Deloitte, Meeting & Event Services (MES) is the team of event professionals in planning and registration that provide strategic end-to-end solutions for all Deloitte meeting and event needs. The Marketplace Event planning team within MES is focused on planning, managing and delivering local events throughout the country (i.e. holiday events, retirement parties, marketing and client events, internal trainings or culture building events, etc.) Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and skills to think proactively to provide a holistic customer-centric “experience” for our Deloitte professionals, clients, and guests attending events.


  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related hospitality or office support experience in a corporate, hospitality, service-oriented or customer-centric environment 
  • High school diplom 
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to be cross-trained in other processes and areas for back-up support and assume additional responsibilities/projects when necessary and as appropriate
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Associate/bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Hospitality/corporate background with focus on event planning
