Position Summary

Deloitte’s Enterprise Performance professionals are leaders in optimizing operations that span the entire enterprise of an organization, from strategy to implementation and operation. Work you’ll do 

  • Serve as a policy and regulatory advisor to government clients on large scale energy projects
  • Manage legal and business issues related to the planning and developing large energy projects, and utilize legal expertise in relation to energy regulatory, market, and policy challenges. 
  • Provide guidance to senior government clients on how issues related to policy, regulatory, financial, risk, and market factors can impact energy project development
  • Review and provide input on the potential impact of new energy policies/ legislation on government sector energy strategies and efforts
  • Lead business development initiatives to grow our practice and focus on meeting managed revenue and sales targets
  • Provide mentoring/coaching of other practitioners and actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities.

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Secret security clearance for this role 
  • Travel up to 20%
  • 10+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience including relevant energy regulatory and policy environment

 

Preferred: 

  • Strong communication skills to provide recurring and ad-hoc project updates and synthesizing information clearly and succinctly for senior leaders and decision makers
  • Experience advising government officials and/or industry leaders
  • Knowledge of the power and utilities industry
  • Renewable and alternative energy experience a plus
  • Strong leadership skills including directing and managing diverse teams
  • 5+ years of experience working with government clients
  • Experience working with defense sector and Military Service clients
  • Domestic and international work experience
