Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Strategy and Analytics, Analytics and Cognitive in San Jose, CA, and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do 

Drive advisory and implementation services of large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data, to generate insights leveraging various platforms to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments for the insurance, financial services, healthcare, state and Local government, telecom, retail industries. Modernize our business and core environments to leverage technology innovations across multiple platforms; drive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise for continuous insights and improvements. Perform data management, such as master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, data modeling while utilizing technologies. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, and identify changes in scope while working closely with Data Scientists, Business partners and other IT counterparts and Data Architects. Lead various aspects of the full data delivery lifecycle for implementations, which may include requirements gathering, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation. Provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, to produce analysis; consolidate the inferences to present recommendations to senior management and executives to enable critical decision-making.

Requirements 

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept three years of university study and 3 years of related work experience. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Driving implementation of enterprise level data warehouse (DW) including database design, development of logical and physical models, utilizing Erwin, ER/Studio Data Architect, SAP Power Designer and Toad Data Modeler;
  • Performing data management, such as master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, and data modeling, utilizing Informatica, Talend, Erwin, and ER/Studio Data Architect;
  • Utilizing Structured Query Language (SQL), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Python, Tableau, and Domo to perform data analysis, reporting, data warehousing and analytics, Business Intelligence (BI), and visualization for unstructured and structured data sets in big data technologies
  • Supporting accuracy of data transformations and data verification by performing automated data quality and data integrity tests and validation, disaster recovery, backup, automated schema migrations, continuous deployment utilizing AWS CodeDeploy;
  • Collaborating with Data Scientists, Data Architects, Business partners, and other IT counterparts to implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process to identify, capture, collect, format, and extract data from different external and internal sources, and design DW, utilizing Informatica, Talend, Python, SQL, Apache Spark, and Kafka;
  • Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall lifecycle to design, develop, test, and implement production support and performance tuning of Enterprise DW, Data Marts, BI Reporting environments, data analytics and data integration solutions for enterprise-level clients in the E-Commerce industry;
  • Developing BI/DW solutions for enterprise-wide reporting and building customized applications, utilizing Microstrategy, IBM Cognos, Tableau, Microsoft (MS) SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) in a big data environment;
  • Providing industry insights and analytical support using Hive, Kafka, and AWS; and
  • Building and driving program plans and timelines, leading platform architecture, and driving the technical direction of the big data platform projects for clients.
