Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Strategy & Analytics, Analytics & Cognitive in Pleasanton, California and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Modernize business and core environments by leveraging technology innovations across multiple platforms for clients in the insurance, financial services, healthcare, State and Local government, telecom, and retail industries. Drive operational efficiency by maintaining data ecosystems and sourcing analytics expertise for continuous insights and improvements. Perform data management, such as master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, data modeling while utilizing technologies. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Develop "point-of- view" documents related to trending topics (such as cloud, machine learning, and the Internet of Things); quickly adopt emerging technological trends (such as predictive analytics, cognitive analytics, or machine learning) to develop creative solutions to pressing issues. Using visualization software to synthesize quantitative and qualitative business information resulting in cost optimizations, enhancements, and streamlined processes.

Requirements 

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Engineering (any), any STEM degree, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must have two (2) years of experience with:

  • Driving advisory and implementation services of large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and Reporting tools to generate insights leveraging various platforms to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments for Financial Services and Government Public Services industries;
  • Taking the lead on various aspects of the full data delivery lifecycle for implementations, including requirements gathering, business process analysis, scripting, code deployment process, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues utilizing JIRA and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Visio;
  • Providing industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, predictive modeling and data visualization tools including Python and Tableau and consolidating the inferences to present recommendations to senior management and executives;
  • Designing and developing data cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching;
  • Delivering Data Warehousing and Analytics solutions utilizing Informatica;
  • Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall lifecycle for the design, development, testing and implementation of Data Governance, Data Analytics and Data Integration solutions for enterprise-level clients in the Financial Services industry;
  • Performing data analysis, including inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modeling for enabling data mining and resolving data mapping and data modeling issues using Oracle SQL and Microsoft SQL Server;
  • Building reports and data models in Tableau and SAP BusinessObjects based on performance measurement metrics, allowing for business and technical users to provide insights into the organizations data; and
  • Writing scripts using Python and VBA Macros to automate data integration processes including merging files, appending data, and transferring of files for automating data flow.
