Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a SENIOR CONSULTANT, STRATEGY & ANALYTICS, ANALYTICS & COGNITIVE in Dallas, TX and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 


Work You’ll Do 

Drive advisory and implementation services of large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-based platforms to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments. Modernize core environments to leverage technology innovations across multiple platforms, drive operational efficiency by maintaining data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise for continuous insights and improvements. Perform data management, such as master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, and data modeling. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Support various aspects of the full data delivery lifecycle for implementations, which may include requirements gathering, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, and escalations of urgent issues. Develop thought-ware and point-of-view documents related to trending topics (such as cloud and machine learning), quickly adopt emerging technological trends (such as predictive analytics, cognitive analytics, or machine learning) to develop creative solutions to pressing business issues. Provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools to produce analysis and algorithms; consolidate the inferences to present recommendations to the business, senior management, and executives to enable critical decision making.

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Designing and implementing complex Big Data ecosystems using Cloudera Hadoop CDH 6.X and Amazon Web Services Elastic MapReduce (AWS EMR) clusters;
  • Implementing and transforming semi-structured and streaming data using Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and Informatica;
  • Building scalable and high-performance data pipelines using Apache Hive, Apache Impala, MySQL (Structured Query Language), Splice Machine, and Data Warehousing leveraging Amazon Redshift, Teradata, SQL Server, and MongoDB;
  • Leveraging a variety of such Cloud technologies as Snowflake, AWS Elasticsearch & S3 services to acquire and transform data for real time advanced analytics;
  • Performing big data performance tuning, bucketing, partitioning, UDF (User Defined Functions), UDAF (User Defined Aggregate Functions), and optimization utilizing Apache Spark with Scala, Python, and Apache Hive;
  • Mining and analyzing transactional electronic data with various data engineering tools, including HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System), Apache Spark In Scala, Apache Spark SQL, SQL, Python, Teradata, Mongodb, Microsoft Excel, and Informatica PowerCenter;
  • Evaluating, deploying, and utilizing such platforms and technologies as GitHub, Bitbucket & Bamboo to support SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) leveraging CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery) principles; and
  • Collecting and formatting the data required to establish KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to ensure performance is measured against expected business outcomes.
