Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Strategy & Analytics, Analytics & Cognitive in Charlotte, NC and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

 

Work You’ll Do

Leveraging analytics, robotics, and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, creating and managing large-scale organizational intelligence, and generating insights that catalyze growth and efficiencies. Synthesizing overall operations strategy by analyzing a wide variety of business solutions. Selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis and interpreting and reporting on outputs. Participating in setting engagement objectives and scope, developing work plans for components of engagements, coordinating activities between workstreams and identifying changes in scope. Participating in various aspects of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for software applications, which may include requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects, change requests, and escalations of urgent issues. Evaluating clients' technology needs, developing customized applications and drafting technical and functional design documentation. Identifying and mitigating risks in process and technology for client engagements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM degree, or a related field. Two years of experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation. Must have two years of experience with:

  • Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall project delivery and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for designing, developing, testing and implementing Data Analytics solutions for enterprise-level clients;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes and environments using advanced Microsoft (MS) Excel, Erwin, Visio, PowerPoint, Adobe and Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA);
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders in gathering functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that meet client needs using Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Apache NiFi, Amazon Redshift, Python, Structured Query Language (SQL), Apache Kafka, MapReduce, Java/Java Platform Enterprise Edition (Java EE) and Unix;
  • Using Spark, Hive, Redshift, Python, SQL, Kafka, MapReduce, Java EE and Unix to support and participate in the design and development of big data solutions on the cloud;
  • Coordinating the project activities of onshore and offshore team members to ensure the timely and quality completion of project deliverables using Agile methodology;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverables status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders using Rally, Jira, MS Project, and advanced MS Excel;
  • Using Talend to support and perform the following types of testing to ensure successful design and implementation of big data solutions on the cloud: Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT);
  • Designing and delivering user manuals and training for solutions to ensure successful implementation, adoption and maintenance in client environments using Adobe PDF and PowerPoint;
  • Supporting business development activities, including proposal development and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) using MS Office and Adobe.
