Senior Consultant Product Pricing & Commercial Spend
Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks Senior Consultant focused on Pricing and Sales Strategy. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of both the strategic aspects of pricing, as we as an understanding of the technical systems (e.g., PriceFx, PROS, Salesforce, Vendavo, etc.) that enable an enterprise to manage an execute its commercial strategy.
The Pricing & Sales Strategy business within Deloitte Consulting serves clients who are seeking to drive profitable growth through revenue management using pricing strategy, transactional analytics, improved commercial capabilities, and implementation of pricing systems. Our team is widely recognized as leaders within the field of Pricing and Revenue Management and we are looking to build on this reputation with highly skilled, experienced professionals.

Work you will do
As a Senior Consultant, you will be part of large engagement teams that address complex pricing, revenue, and margin-focused problems and serve as a member of Deloitte Consulting’s Customer Strategy & Design practice. Work will include:
- Engagement Delivery: Take responsibility for completing specific aspects of a project. Key tasks can include:
- Perform detailed, transaction-level quantitative analytics
- Develop pricing strategies, focusing on concepts such as Economic Value Estimates (EVE), valued-based pricing, granular customer segmentation, in-depth competitive analysis, etc.
- Perform qualitative customer interviews to assess the client’s value proposition
- Gather function and technical requirements to inform the design of advanced pricing / technology and creative business solutions for large companies
- Summarize findings and recommendations and create client deliverable documents
- Project Management: Manage day to day activities, provide status updates to team leaders
- Practice Development & Eminence: Support teams that develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thought-ware" and "point-of-view" documents; support publication of pricing-related and industry periodicals
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- 4+ years of professional experience in a consulting or industry setting with demonstrable depth of knowledge in 1-2 industries
- 1-3 years of experience with core pricing concepts such as value-based pricing, customer segmentation, customer profitability analysis
- 1-3 years of experience with commercial pricing software systems such as Price Fx, PROS, Salesforce, Vendavo etc
- Ability to travel 50% on average based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte’s consulting offices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in business
- Experience leading programs with technology / pricing technology components
- Demonstrated command of complex analytical topics, including the management and understanding of granular data sets
- Consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility
- Experience leading teams and change initiatives (especially in a project management role)
- Experience with budgetary tracking related to projects or resource
- Sector knowledge in Consumer Products, Retail, Industrial Products, Automotive, Media and Technology
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $137,700 to $229,500.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
