Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Enterprise Performance, SAP in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Synthesize overall operations strategy by analyzing a wide variety of business solutions and selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis and interpreting and reporting on outputs. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, estimate time and resources needed for the development work, coordinate activities between workstreams, and identify changes in scope. Participate in various aspects of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for software applications, which may include requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, and escalations. Evaluate clients' technology needs, develop customized applications, draft technical and functional design documentation, identify and mitigate process and technology risks, perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Function as integrator between business needs and technology solutions and help to create technology solutions to meet clients’ business needs. Drive SAP software advisory and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions by implementing large scale SAP ecosystems, including SAP modules Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (OTC), Production Planning (PP), Logistics Execution (LE) utilizing Cloud based or On-premise platforms. Create test cases and perform Functional, Non-functional, System Integration (SIT), Black-box, White-box, and End-to-end testing of software applications, including defect mitigation.

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business, Engineering (any), Management, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall project delivery and SDLC to design, develop, test and implement SAP solutions for enterprise-level clients in Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Chemical, Mining, Telecom, and Aerospace industries;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes and environments utilizing SAP Model Company, Accelerated SAP (ASAP) methodology, and digital transformation adapting EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) platforms;
  • Providing specialist level expertise to implement SAP ECC 6.0 (ERP Central Component) and SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain modules, Material Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), Logistics Execution (LE), and SAP mobility solutions;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyze client requirements, and translate requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that fully meet client needs utilizing Business Process Master List (BPML), HP Agile Manager, and Jira;
  • Utilizing Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), Functional Design Specification (FDS), Technical Design Specification (TDS), User Specification Requirement (URS), and analyzing RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows) objects to support, participate in, and lead the design and development of project solutions;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders utilizing Microsoft (MS) Project, SAP Solution Manager (SolMan), ASAP methodology, and SAP Activate;
  • Utilizing Micro Focus ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), SmartBear, and ServiceNow to support, perform, and oversee Functional Unit Testing (FUT), System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Hypercare, to ensure successful design and implementation of project solutions; and
  • Designing and delivering user manuals and training for solutions to ensure successful implementation, adoption, and maintenance in client environments utilizing integrative learning and change management.
