Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Enterprise Performance, Emerging ERP Solutions in Chicago, Illinois and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive implementations of Cloud-based technologies, including data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, and Systems Development Life Cycle. Enable end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud; may lead design and development within the following focus areas: Cloud messaging, ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Operating Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs (Application Programming Interface), Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. Lead various aspects of the full software development lifecycle, which may include requirements gathering, application configuration, design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, and escalations of urgent issues.  Design and develop data governance standards, roles and responsibilities; design data conversion strategies and facilitate data conversion, mapping and cleansing workshops to support the conversion to Cloud. Convert legacy data according to current system’s data structure using data warehouse concepts; design conversion strategies and mapping rules between legacy data and the current system database to facilitate data conversion. Create technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development.  Track application defects using defect tracking tools; coordinate defect resolution efforts, and document resolution details.  Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

·       Leading the system design, development, configuration, and testing (including Unit testing, System Integration testing (SIT), and User Acceptance testing (UAT));

·       Working on data reconciliation and reports for data flow among Data Warehouse, Workday systems, and connected upstream and downstream systems;

·       Participating in Proof of Concept (POC) configuration for alternate account, project and gift budgets, intracompany eliminations, worktag balancing, allocations, and driver worktags, in support of client’s transformation from an annual and cash basis closing to a monthly accrual-based closing;

·       Conducting finance business process workshops utilizing Microsoft (MS) Visio to understand the clients’ current business process, and outlining and configuring future Workday Business Processes Definitions (BPDs) related to Financial Management, Budgets, Projects, and Assets modules to simplify the approval process for establishing improved internal controls;

·       Conducting assessment of current systems and business architecture to better design the Workday Financial Systems landscape and integration with other tools including Workday Studio, Informatica Cloud Data Management, and Data Mapping Translator (DMT);

·       Driving Chart of Accounts redesign from old mainframe-based Workday Chart of Accounts (COA), resulting in required multi-dimensionality, to support more efficient data capture, reporting statement of activities, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and analysis;

·       Participating in activating client-needed functionalities to facilitate system development using Workday iLoad and Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), to bring a seamless data load from implementation and sandbox system tenants to the production system and to provide better controls; and

·       Implementing an access control system, using Workday Identity Access Management (IAM) controls, including job-based, role-based, and domain securities for functional areas, as well as segment securities controls.

·       80% travel required nationally.
