Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Customer & Marketing, Advertising, Marketing, and Commerce in Pleasanton, CA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 

 

Work You’ll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, including requirements, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and beyond, as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams, and identify changes in scope. Support the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation, identify and mitigate process and technology risks for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems, identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, and estimate time and resources needed for development work. Design sub-components of larger application systems, integrate software applications with each other, and continuously optimize the system structure to improve stability and performance. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation.

  • 80% travel required nationally.

Requirements 

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any), or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Utilizing Visio for connecting diagrams to data sources and for displaying graphical data within an engagement team;
  • Advising, designing, implementing, and deploying eCommerce, customer relationship solutions, integrations with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP), and other third-party integrations, including SAP integrations, payment gateway, and fraud detection;
  • Developing Proof of Concept (POC) applications for validating the success and failure of use cases, including analyzing the difference in responses in different failure scenarios;
  • Implementing custom APIS (Application Programming Interface), generating Junit tests, and validating passing Unit tests;
  • Updating technical descriptions within program management tools including Jira for reflecting custom steps required for implementation;
  • Conducting due diligence of businesses, existing processes, and developing functional and technical designs for ecommerce implementation projects in SAP Commerce and Oracle;
  • Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and implementing support systems;
  • Employing tools, including AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Xrebel, and Google analytics used for analyzing customer activities for proposing appropriate solution enhancements to businesses; and
  • Conducting assessments of current systems and business architecture used for designing SAP Commerce solutions and integrating with other tools, including Vertex, Bank Interfaces, Paymetrix, Infotrax, SAP ECC (ERP Central Component) and SAP Commerce used for seamlessly integrating between different functions and providing better controls on order and inventory management. 
  • 80% travel required nationally.
