Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a SENIOR CONSULTANT, CORE BUSINESS OPERATIONS, SYSTEMS ENGINEERING in Los Angeles, California and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

DESIGNING, IMPLEMENTING, AND OPERATING SOLUTIONS FOR CUSTOM-DEVELOPED SYSTEMS, PLATFORM INTEGRATION, AND APPLICATION MODERNIZATION TO ENABLE CORE BUSINESS CAPABILITIES. SYNTHESIZING OVERALL OPERATIONS STRATEGY BY ANALYZING A WIDE VARIETY OF BUSINESS SOLUTIONS. SELECTING THE MOST RELEVANT TOOLS/TECHNIQUES TO MEET SPECIFIC CLIENT REQUIREMENTS SUCH AS BUSINESS CASE, PRICING, OR COMPLEX FINANCIAL ANALYSIS ANDINTERPRETING AND REPORTING ON OUTPUTS. PARTICIPATING IN SETTING ENGAGEMENT OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE, DEVELOPING WORK PLANS FOR COMPONENTS OF ENGAGEMENTS, COORDINATING ACTIVITIES BETWEEN WORKSTREAMS AND IDENTIFYING CHANGES IN SCOPE. PARTICIPATING IN VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THE FULL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE FOR SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS, WHICH MAY INCLUDE REQUIREMENTS GATHERING, APPLICATION CONFIGURATION DESIGN, BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYSIS, SCRIPTING, CODE DEPLOYMENTS, ENHANCEMENT VALIDATION, TRIAGE OF DEFECTS AND CHANGE REQUESTS, ESCALATIONS AND URGENT ISSUES. EVALUATING CLIENTS' TECHNOLOGY NEEDS, DEVELOPING CUSTOMIZED APPLICATIONS AND DRAFT TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL DESIGN DOCUMENTATION. FUNCTIONING AS AN INTEGRATOR BETWEEN BUSINESS NEEDS AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, HELPING TO CREATE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS TO MEET CLIENTS BUSINESS NEEDS. DEFINING SYSTEMS STRATEGY, DEVELOPING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, DESIGNING, PROTOTYPING, AND TESTING CUSTOM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, AND SUPPORTING SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION.

Requirements

BACHELOR'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ANY STEM FIELD, OR A RELATED FIELD AND TWO (2) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. MUST ALSO HAVE TWO (2) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: WORKING WITH VARIOUS DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGIES, INCLUDING AGILE, WATERFALL AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE (SDLC) AND CREATING EPIC AND STORIES FOR AGILE DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY; UTILIZING MAINFRAME TOOLS, INCLUDING WGS, ISG, NASCO, FACETS, CHIPS, ACES, AND CS90; ANALYZING BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS, CREATING FUNCTIONAL DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS USING JIRA, AND MANAGING REQUIREMENTS USING REQUIREMENTS TRACEABILITY MATRIX (RTM) TO SUPPORT REQUIREMENT GATHERING AND HIGH-LEVEL SOLUTION IN RATIONAL CLEARCASE AND VISUAL SOURCESAFE (VSS); CLARIFYING FUNCTIONALITY BY FACILITATING JOINT APPLICATION DESIGN (JAD) SESSIONS, REQUIREMENT WORKSHOPS AND RECORDING THE OUTCOMES USING VERSIONING TOOLS, INCLUDING VISUAL SOURCE SAFE, IBM RATIONAL CLEARCASE, RATIONAL CLEARQUEST, AND MS OFFICE; PREPARING AND EXECUTING SOFTWARE RELEASE DEPLOYMENT PLANS ACROSS TECHNOLOGIES ALONG WITH SOFTWARE INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADES BY DOCUMENTING THE INSTALL REQUIREMENTS USING MS OFFICE; PERFORMING GAP ANALYSIS AND STATISTICAL ANALYSIS FOR MODULES IN PRODUCTION, CONDUCTING FEASIBILITY STUDIES AND PERFORMING IMPACT ANALYSIS FOR PROPOSED ENHANCEMENTS; CREATING BUSINESS REQUIREMENT DOCUMENT (BRD), FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATION (FRS) DOCUMENT, USER REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATION (URS) AND CHANGE REQUEST (CR) DOCUMENT FOR SYSTEM APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT; AND COORDINATING VARIOUS USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING (UAT), INCLUDING REGRESSION TESTING, SYSTEM TESTING, INTEGRATION TESTING, FUNCTIONAL TESTING AND ALPHA AND BETA TESTING.
