Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Core Business Operations, Core Industry Solutions in Boston, MA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Lead the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems, and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Design sub-components of larger application systems; integrate software applications with each other and continuously optimize the system structure to improve stability and performance. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation.

  • 80% Travel required nationally.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field or a related field. Must have two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Candidate must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Driving software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, and testing to deployment as discrete services or comprehensive solutions, utilizing Agile Methodologies and Application Lifecycle Management Tools, Jira and Agile Manager (AGM);
  • Leading the evaluation of technology needs, developing customized applications and drafting technical and functional design documentation, utilizing Confluence and GitHub Readme Documentation assets;
  • Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, utilizing SWOT analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and McKinsey 7S Framework;
  • Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, supporting system implementation, and creating Epics and Story Cards, utilizing Agile Kanban Board and JAMA;
  • Designing and developing applications, utilizing Drupal PHP, AngularJS (1, 2, 4 & 6), ReactJS, and Java Spring, to meet functional needs for software applications;
  • Utilizing StarUML (Unified Modeling Language) and Microsoft (MS) Visio diagrams to convert business requirements into development models;
  • Developing and launching automation solutions utilizing Guidewire Edge Framework and Guidewire Digital Portals;
  • Delivering and deploying custom developed applications for clients, including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, configuration and defect management, and production Summary of Job Description & Requirements for PERM Application for Shravan Santhanakrishnan deployment, utilizing Apache Subversion (SVN), Git, MS Visual Studio Code, JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA, Apache Selenium, Jenkins, and Continua;
  • Performing software development in Integrated development environments and web service testing, utilizing Postman and SoapUI (Simple Object Access Protocol User Interface); and
  • Designing and maintaining coding standards to enhance application development using code review tools, Crucible, Git-Pull Documentation, and Confluence.
