Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Core Business Operations, Cloud Engineering in Miami, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 

Work You’ll Do 

Perform data cleansing and conversions, and develop interface design/development and systems development life cycle. Enable end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, by driving the design and development within the following focus areas: Cloud messaging, ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. Perform requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, and escalations and urgent issues, as aspects of the software development lifecycle. Design and develop data governance standards, roles and responsibilities; design data conversion strategies and facilitate data conversion and mapping to support conversion to Cloud. Convert legacy data according to current systems data structure using data warehouse concepts; design conversion strategies and mapping rules between legacy data and the current system database to facilitate data conversion. Create technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Design sub-components of larger application systems; integrate the applications with each other and continuously optimizing the system structure to improve stability and performance.

Requirements

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, any STEM field or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

o Driving the development of Cloud-based technologies, including data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, and systems development life cycle, utilizing Agile methodology;

o Leading various aspects of the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, application configuration design, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues;

o Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, and estimating time and resources needed for the development work;

o Recommending, designing, and implementing Cloud Computing, IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), Managed Cloud, Server Virtualization, and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions;

o Designing and deploying end-to-end cloud infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, and Deployment Manager;

o Designing and implementing disaster recovery, storage architecture, and network architecture, utilizing Google Cloud Managed Services;

o Performing root cause analysis and documenting results using Confluence and JIRA;

o Deploying custom developed applications, including process design, prototyping, code development and review, unit testing, performance testing, configuration, defect management, production deployment and training, utilizing Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Pub/Sub, and BigQuery;

  • 80% Travel required nationally.
