Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Core Business Operations, Cloud Engineering in Boston, MA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 

Work You’ll Do 

Drive the development of cloud-based technologies, including data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, systems development life cycle, etc. Enable end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud; may lead design and development within the following focus areas: Cloud messaging, ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. Drive various aspects of the full software development lifecycle, which may include requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Design and develop data governance standards, roles and responsibilities; design data conversion strategies and facilitate data conversion, mapping and cleansing workshops to support the s conversion to Cloud. Convert legacy data according to current systems data structure using data warehouse concepts; design conversion strategies and mapping rules between legacy data and the current system database to facilitate data conversion. Create technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Design sub-components of larger application systems; integrate the applications with each other and continuously optimizing the system structure to improve stability and performance.

Requirements 

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, any STEM field or a related field. Two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must have two (2) years of related work experience with:

  • Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall project delivery and software development lifecycle for the design, development, testing and implementation of Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering solutions;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes and environments;
  • Interfacing directly with project stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyzing project requirements, and translating requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that fully meet project needs;
  • Using AWS (Cloud), CloudFormation, and Jenkins to support the design and development of project solutions;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverables status to ensure timely project delivery and communication of updates to internal and external stakeholders using Jira;
  • Building and deploying applications using Jenkins, and configuring and securing Linux and Windows servers on AWS using Ansible;
  • Designing, developing, and implementing scalable application solutions on Amazon Web Services Platform (AWS) using CloudFormation (Infrastructure as Code);
  • Configuring and deploying Docker containers for different environments; and
  • Designing and implementing network infrastructure on AWS and deploying and migrating databases on AWS RDS.
