Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Core Business Operations, Cloud Engineering in New York, NY and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

 

Work You’ll Do

Provide delivery, technical and architectural leadership of integration API (Application Programming Interface) solutions using iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) platforms, such as Dell Boomi and MuleSoft. Lead release strategy for deployment cycles. Define technical evaluation criteria for technology selection. Lead build teams during analysis, development, testing and deployment across multi-faceted environments. Define, validate and document technical requirements and establish controls between requirements and application architecture and design. Communicate issues and solutions to Deloitte leadership and client stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of key business processes. Drive development of Cloud-based technologies, including data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Enable end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud; lead design and development within the following focus areas: ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. Lead various aspects of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests. Design and develop data governance standards, roles and responsibilities; design data conversion strategies and facilitate data conversion, mapping and cleansing workshops to support conversion to Cloud. Create technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Perform assessment of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for development work. Design sub-components of larger application systems; integrate applications with each other and continuously optimize system structure to improve stability and performance.

Requirements

Minimum requirements: Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall SDLC to design, develop, test, and implement ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and Cloud integration solutions for enterprise-level clients;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyze client requirements, and translate requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that fully meet client needs;
  • Performing integration, iPaaS and API management using BizTalk Server and Dell Boomi;
  • Using iPaaS platform to support and lead design and development of project solutions;
  • Tracking and reporting project milestones and deliverables; ensuring timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Coordinating project activities for team members across regions to ensure timely and quality completion of deliverables;
  • Using HPQC (Quality Center) and ServiceNow to support testing and ensuring successful design and implementation of project solutions;
  • Performing/designing/supporting User Acceptance (UAT) and System Integration (SIT) Testing; and
  • Supporting business development activities, including proposal development and responses to Requests for Proposals.
