Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Core Business Operations, App Modernization & Innovation in Chicago, Illinois and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive software advisory and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; provide application analysis to meet software architecture and infrastructure goals. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Design sub- components of larger systems, integrate the applications with each other, and continuously optimize the system structure to improve stability and performance. Research user reported issues with software systems, identify root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Track implementation defects using defect tracking tools, coordinate defect resolution efforts, and document resolution details. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Evaluate the technology needs of an organization, develop strategies to increase the company's profitability; design and implement plans to comply with legislation and ensure business growth. Provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools to produce analysis and algorithms that help businesses make better decisions.

Requirements 

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Economics and Strategy, Business Administration, or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Developing functional specifications for custom development and integration between clients internal system and external vendor applications to cater to unique business requirements;
  • Facilitating meetings with business units, product owners, and technical developers in the execution of system implementation and migration projects for end clients, to deliver and enable seamless integration of new functionalities into clients platform;
  • Escalating implementation defects, risks and issues to program leadership and driving resolution efforts across multiple workstreams, utilizing JIRA;
  • Developing a comprehensive business case model highlighting financial and technical values of programs product build and coordinating with expert groups to synthesize key metrics and assumptions in solidifying the analysis;
  • Developing system architecture workflow and implementation plans to define the scope, approach, and issues related to product build and releases;
  • Implementing Agile Scrum methodologies for product delivery teams and facilitating delivery of JIRA user stories for system functionalities and data models;
  • Producing executive reports for client and project leadership using Agile management tools, including JIRA and Confluence, and communicating program level deliverables to leadership for approval and decisions of the solution; and
  • Driving functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies across multiple workstreams to translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
