Position Summary

Work you’ll do

This position acts as the main point of contact for Deloitte Global inquiries regarding billing and facilitates resolutions to disputes. US/Global Accounting department represents the US Deloitte Firm in business transactions (interfirm activity) between the US Firm and Deloitte Global. This includes the review, processing, and reporting of all AR and AP invoices posting to the Global Interfirm Accounts.

  • Collaborate with the India team responsible for processing AR and AP invoices, review tracking logs and Interfirm Account Statements
  • Prepare periodic operating reports for review by leadership including aging schedules and operating activity summaries
  • Manage relationship with Global team to reconcile differences in balances, track outstanding items, and negotiate monthly payment proposals to settle open AR and AP balances on four large Global Interfirm Accounts
  • Liaison between US business owners and Global Finance Team to resolve disputes regarding rejected AR and AP invoices
  • Perform period-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and submission of recurring journal entries
  • Prepare and submit various ad-hoc/adjusting journal entries as requested by leadership
  • Prepare periodic balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage the billing and reporting process for seconded revenue/recurring compensation on a periodic basis
  • Identify areas for process improvements or develop new procedures
  • Review of firm expenses to ensure they meet firm guidelines and perform additional research of expenses as needed. This includes oral and written communication with vendors and firm employees to gather necessary details
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience necessary for applying proper accounting treatment to all transactions and for maintaining and reconciling various ledger and subledger accounts
  • Experience with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
