Position Summary

The Team

 

The Marketing Technology & Transformation (MT&T) practice aligns talent, operating models and the latest marketing technologies with data and analytics tools to personalize the customer experience at every interaction to drive business results. As a member of the MT&T practice, you will be part of a collaborative team of passionate marketing technology experts, who are working at the forefront of innovation in this space.

 

Work you’ll do – How you fit in

 

A Functional Consultant on Deloitte's Salesforce Marketing Cloud Transformation Team works within an engagement team and is responsible for identifying business requirements, requirements management, functional design, journey mapping, feasibility analysis, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations to support Marketing goals (growth, engagement, brand consistency, or loyalty).  These processes provide critical details required to deliver a platform that provides business and technical value to the customer. 

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to solicit, analyze, understand, and document business requirements to help turn technical requirements into actionable strategic marketing transformation program plans (i.e., implementation, change management or operation strategies, etc.)
  • Serve and become an expert in Marketing Cloud solutioning
  • Assist with physical design, functional configuration, user stories, user testing, and user training to help ensure that end-to-end solutions are delivered with quality and that expectations are met for functionality, reliability, and availability
  • Perform day-to-day problem analysis, resolution, and offer general analytical support
  • Participate in the development and help drive the adherence of relevant standards, guidelines, and procedures
  • Assist in the overall design of Marketing Cloud as well as recommending best practice solutions based on business needs and latest proven business & technology trends
  • Support projects and initiatives to deploy new functionality and/or enhance existing functionality
  • Map requirements to functionality within Salesforce solutions and adjacent ecosystems
  • Contributing to overall deliverables 
  • Ensuring project is delivered on-time, on-budget
 

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Advanced Degree Preferred
  • Completion of SFMC Email Specialist Certification or willingness to completion
  • 2+ yrs experience as a Product Owner (PO) or Business Analyst (BA) or Solution Specialist within Marketing Cloud ecosystem (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio (push, SMS), cloud pages, Ad Studio, Interaction Studio, Datorama etc.) 
  • 2+ years consulting, marketing project implementation, and/or project management experience
  • Additional experience in 2 of the following technologies:
= Other Marketing Automation (Eloqua, Oracle, Marketo)
= Utilizing skills such as SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AMPscript
= DMPs (Blue Kai, Rocket Fuel, Trade Desk etc.)
= CDP, Marketing Analytics, Real Time Interaction Management (IS, Adobe, Target)
  • Experience eliciting high-level business requirements and creating detailed functional specs as well as other documentation like requirement traceability matrixes, work-flow diagrams and use-cases
  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, RUP, other)
  • Strong interpersonal, team building, organizational and motivational skills
  • Potential expected travel up to 30% (due to COVID-19, all non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

Preferred:

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist & Salesforce Admin Certifications 
  • Experience with performing gap analysis outlining client gaps in technology, resources, and institutional knowledge necessary to deliver and execute a successful channel rollout
  • Working knowledge of the tracking and reporting processes required to keep clients and project teams up to date
  • Writing simple-to-moderately complex SQL queries
  • Experience presenting to clients and/or other decision-makers both technical and non-technical
