Job Description

Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory is seeking a Salesforce Cloud Architect to advise our clients in the financial services industry. As a solution architect, you will be responsible for designing technical architecture solutions, provide consultation for solution optimization, prepare blueprints aligning client’s requirements to business solutions, and developing strategies for driving client’s digital transformation and establishing omnichannel presence.

Responsibilities:

In this position you will interact directly with senior business and technology executives across the financial services industry. You will bring exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, business judgment and technical expertise to cross-functional teams. This position requires a strong technical background on Salesforce, and you should be customer-focused with a passion for using information technology to drive business value. You should have a deep understanding of the capital markets ecosystem, including the key business processes and technology components that underpin core financial capabilities.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Designing technical architecture solution on Salesforce to guide digital transformation for clients
  • Collaboratively defining client requirements and providing technical consultation on solution design
  • Advising clients on architecture options and recommending proposed changes to optimize integration between Salesforce and other technologies
  • Providing guidance on best practices related to solution design and approach to evaluate different Salesforce solution options
  • Developing crisp communications to convey key messages and decisions to senior-level executives
  • Providing training and development support to both internal and external stakeholders using your deep Salesforce experiences and lessons learned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years’ experience with Salesforce administration and development experience
  • 7+ years of experience architecting cloud-based solutions, including defining cloud strategies and executing cloud migrations at scale.
  • 10+ years of financial services technology industry experience
  • Deep hands-on understanding of Salesforce functionalities including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud and Experience Cloud Communities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally
  • Ability to qualitatively and quantitatively assess both business and technology challenges
  • Advanced understanding of enterprise architecture principles and/or familiarity with the TOGAF architecture framework
  • Experience leading delivery with small to mid-sized teams
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce cloud certifications (e.g., Salesforce Financial Services Cloud Accreditation, Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant) preferred
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level technology strategy initiatives, preferably in a leading management consultancy or technology services provider environment
  • Hands-on experience with software development methodologies and programming languages such as Java, C, Python, etc.
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in Agile development environments preferred
  • Experience with third party apps using salesforce for financial services such as NCINO
