Opportunity Background
The U.S. Consulting Pursuit Center of Excellence (PCOE) team is dedicated to the success of the firm’s sales efforts as they are defined by Deloitte Consulting leadership. The team supports sales success by driving continuous improvement in sales effectiveness which is executed through two channels:
1) Commitment to bring the best resources and capabilities to pursuits, and
2) Applying lessons learned to enhance learning and development of client service staff.
The PCOE team works with client service teams to refine the sales strategy, to establish and execute an organized pursuit plan, and deliver high quality, innovative proposals and sales presentations. In addition to direct sales support, the Pursuit Studio team provides an added focus on proposal content curation and sales asset development, enabling information sharing to all pursuits.
The U.S. Pursuit Studio is seeking to fill a Consultant level Sales Support Specialist position. Since this is a virtual role, the individual hired could be based out of any U.S. Deloitte office location. Because of frequent interaction with team counterparts in India, ability to collaborate with them across time zones is important.
Work You’ll Do:
As a Sales Support Specialist you will work directly within the Pursuit Studio, supporting pursuit teams across U.S. Consulting to develop proposal responses. You will also help support and maintain content repositories to ensure that current, high quality content is included in our proposal products.
- Proposal Response
- Create draft proposals using Deloitte’s content repository and automation tool (Qvidian), synthesize all content, and ensure a quality first draft is developed
- Utilize multiple research sources and liaise with other teams as necessary
- Provide writing and editorial review for style, usability, and readability
- Be committed to continuous improvement as we advance our capabilities
- Content Development
- Periodically update sales content to ensure data is current
- Work with subject matter experts to review and improve existing content
- Facilitate the continuous improvement of sales content
The Team
The U.S. Consulting Sales Excellence (SE) practice serves the Industries, Offering Portfolios and account teams in driving sales success. SE owns the sales life cycle from identification and prioritization of the opportunity all the way through to closing the deal. The Sales Excellence organization comprises several workstreams including the Sales Executive organization, the Pursuit Center of Excellence (PCOE), Proposal Studio, Pricing & Commercial Deal Support (PCDS), Competitive Intelligence, and the Science of Winning.
The team member will be aligned to the Consulting Professional National Office, comprised of professionals with various areas of focus that collectively provide mission critical services to support Consulting’s overall success. Whether focused on project financials, quality and risk management, methods and tools, sales excellence, talent, leadership support, or other activities, these professionals ensure that our Firm operates efficiently and that our people can effectively serve clients every day. Our new Operating Model formalizes these functions so that we can continue to enhance their quality while providing our professionals a consistent talent experience and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, humanities, liberal arts, or related disciplines with a desired 1-8 years of relevant experience
Preferred:
- Strong English language verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional writing and copyediting skills with an acute attention to detail
- Experienced with MS Office
- Adept at picking up /learning new technologies quickly
- Analytical thinker committed to continuous improvement
- Consulting sales pursuit and proposal development experience a plus
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Strong work ethic
- Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a team

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $94,000 to $171,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
